Description
Amazon Worldwide Grocery is seeking a Sustainability Business Analyst to help support progress toward Grocery and Amazon’s sustainability goals. The ideal candidate is curious and adaptable, possessing knowledge and experience with critical analysis and data deep dives. This person will play a key role on our Sustainability team and support the work of the greater Amazon Worldwide Grocery Stores business unit. The Sustainability Business Analyst will help measure, enable, and substantiate Worldwide Grocery sustainability efforts, as well as support and provide necessary data and programmatic support for shared sustainability goals with Amazon.This position is can be based in Austin or Seattle, in office 5 days/week with ability to travel up to 10% of the time.
Key job responsibilities
• This role supports subject matter experts (SMEs) across waste, packaging, and climate by:
o Maintaining integrity and improving rigor of data across subject matter areas to support various regulatory requirements
o Measuring footprints and key metrics and managing methodologies
o Providing financial analysis of programs and business cases
o Supporting with Amazon third-party assurance processes for footprints, including documenting methodologies, answering auditor questions, and providing data samples
o Providing ad-hoc project-specific analysis and deep-dives
o Supporting projects programmatically
o Interfacing with Amazon team to share appropriate Worldwide Grocery sustainability data
o Collaborating with Business Intelligence Engineering (BIE) and program contacts across Worldwide Grocery and Worldwide Sustainability teams
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent- Experience defining requirements and using data and metrics to draw business insights
- Experience with SQL or ETL
- Experience in Excel (macros, index, conditional list, arrays, pivots, lookups), or experience in tax, finance or a related analytical field
- Experience in a fast-paced, high-tech company, or experience prioritizing and handling multiple assignments at any given time while maintaining commitment to deadlines
- Experience communicating across technical and non-technical audiences, including executive level stakeholders or clients
Extended Qualifications
- Experience working with Tableau- Experience using very large datasets
- Experience with end-to-end project management, or experience at Amazon

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $50,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $107,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
