Description

Project Kuiper is an initiative to increase global broadband access through a constellation of 3,236 satellites in low Earth orbit (LEO). Its mission is to bring fast, affordable broadband to unserved and underserved communities around the world. Project Kuiper will help close the digital divide by delivering fast, affordable broadband to a wide range of customers, including consumers, businesses, government agencies, and other organizations operating in places without reliable connectivity.

As a Supply Chain Technical Program Manager (TPM) on the Inventory and Fulfillment Technology team, you will play a critical role in overseeing end-to-end program management of supply chain operations, focusing on testing, system integration, and process optimization. You will work cross-functionally with engineering, product, and operations teams to ensure that Kuiper's satellite solutions are seamlessly deployed and meet customer expectations at scale.

Key job responsibilities

Supply Chain Initiatives: Oversee the lifecycle of SC programs, from planning and development to deployment and continuous improvement. Ensure alignment of technical, operational, and business goals to execute SC strategies effectively.

End-to-End Supply Chain Testing: Lead end-to-end testing, including User Acceptance Testing (UAT), to validate the performance of SC systems. Inventory management, and fulfillment operations are optimized and scalable for global implementation.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with engineering, product management, and business teams to define SC requirements and align on technical roadmaps. Act as a liaison between technical and operational teams, ensuring seamless integration of Kuiper's solutions into the broader SC network.

Risk and Issue Management: Identify and mitigate supply chain risks. Address technical and operational issues promptly during testing or deployment to ensure project timelines are met.

System Integration and Automation: Oversee integration of Kuiper's solutions with fulfillment centers, and partners. Lead automation initiatives to improve scalability and accuracy in inventory and order fulfillment.

Data-Driven Process Optimization: Use data from tests and feedback to refine supply chain processes, drive continuous improvement, and optimize inventory systems.

Technical Documentation and Training: Develop technical documentation and create training materials for teams and partners to support the successful deployment of Kuiper’s supply chain solutions.

Export Control Requirements: Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

About the team

You will be joining a team focused on driving enterprise service delivery mechanisms for all of the customer facing hardware, software and systems for Project Kuiper.



Qualifications

- 5+ years of technical product or program management experience

- 3+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience

- 3+ years of software development experience

- 3+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience

- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules



Extended Qualifications

- Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership

- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules

- Design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience

- Specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience

- Experience with wireless technologies and network systems

- Experience communicating across technical and non-technical audiences, including executive level stakeholders or clients

- Experience working within software development or Internet-related industries

- Experience working as a Solutions Architect or Systems Engineer preferably in wireless cellular or satellite technology

- Certifications and/or relevant work experience deploying cloud-native applications and microservices for enterprise IT workloads, preferably on AWS

- Strong RF domain expertise with experience managing site surveys, assessing link budget/SINR, signal interference, spectrum management / coordination with other wireless systems

- Working experience with wireless networking software stack, troubleshooting, and call flows including related protocols for cell (spot) acquisition, RACH, registration, mobility, and data session establishment.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $133,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $231,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
