Description

AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. In other words, we’re the people who keep the cloud running. We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. We work on the most challenging problems, with thousands of variables impacting the supply chain — and we’re looking for talented people who want to help.

You’ll join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. You’ll collaborate with people across AWS to help us deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers. And you’ll experience an inclusive culture that welcomes bold ideas and empowers you to own them to completion.

AWS Infrastructure Services Systems and Supportability (SnS) Supply Planning Team is responsible for generating Data Center (DC) and Server material supply plans, ingesting the supply team's inputs in response to the verified demand signal. This work is the source of truth for all AWS capacity delivery and financial planning teams. We partner with stakeholder teams across AWS to deliver high quality plan that is used as the input for the S&OP mechanism. We own the business logic to produce an automated supply plan for future need, we inspect for needed changes to the automated plan, and we drive changes to upstream logic/tooling as needed to increase the usability of the automated supply plan output. We interface with procurement teams, datacenter build teams, and manufacturing teams to collect their supportability and supply levers to meet the demand.

We are looking for an exceptional Program Manger to help us build on this mission as the volume of products, services, and locations continues to grow. The ideal candidate is one who thrives in ambiguity, is very customer obsessed, focused on operational excellence and is willing to take high degree of ownership for their program vision and execution of ideas. The ability to effectively communicate at all levels of the organization, make data driven decisions, and apply good judgement to manage escalations, competing priorities, and deliverables is essential to this role. Successful candidates will be able to balance think big with realities of delivering on customer promises today. They will also have excellent analytical and creative thinking skills, and the ability to break down complex problems with no clear answers (and at times, conflicting data) into simple, innovative solutions and/or clear, measurable implementation plans.

Do you enjoy solving very complex problems while seeking to invent and simplify? Are you excited by large complex supply chain? Do you enjoy leveraging your creativity to solve real world analytical and capacity delivery problems? Come work with smart people and make major contributions towards enhancing our infrastructure for millions of customers world-wide.

Why you will enjoy it:

In this highly visible and critical role, you will be the voice of the customer in developing operational excellence plans and work extensively with AWS teams including operations, engineering, product management, and finance to help grow the business. You will use your operational and analytical skills to set a vision for the future, translate this vision into reality, and innovate on behalf of our customers. You will have ownership, not just responsibility. In addition, you will be part of a growing, fast paced, and fun team.
