Do you enjoy breaking down and solving complex problems for the benefit of a quickly expanding customer base, focusing first on our customer and working backwards? If so, the Amazon supply chain team is looking for an experienced leader with a strong record of achieving results, to create and execute the worldwide supply chain by working closely with our retail and operations partners across the globe in order to effectively manage volume flows and fullness for our fulfillment centers and delivery stations.Amazon obsesses over customers by offering a white glove service where we deliver TVs and other items such as furniture to customers’ homes. AMXL was launched in September of 2018 to support Amazon’s expansion into the >$600B Heavy/Bulky product market share segment. The NA AMXL Supply Chain Execution team (SCE) plays the leading role in the growth and profitability of our network. We are responsible for calibrating our capacity to expected demand, overseeing the health of our end-to-end supply chain, and making structural changes to our network (inbound and outbound connectivity, critical pull times (CPTs), new ship methods, use of 3P carriers, availability of delivery slots, Delivery Service Provider (DSP) and associate hiring, etc.) to meet our cost, growth, and quality goals. Over the last five years, AMXL has become arguably the best Heavy Bulky fulfillment and delivery provider in the world with in terms of Delivery Estimate Accuracy, costs, and fewer customer contacts. Our NA network is currently supporting over $9B in gross merchandise sales (GMS), with expectations of double-digit % growth over the next three years.
Key job responsibilities
The S&OP team is responsible for aligning and optimizing the FC network plan for labor and capacity constraints, ideal placement and buy volumes, plan accuracy, and improve tools to automate the planning process. Each week, our team provides an updated short to medium term aggregate fulfillment plan (up to 17 weeks) for the AMXL fulfillment network (US). The plan reflects the projected fulfillment needs of the Retail/FBA teams and partners, and includes all inbound and outbound flows across the network. FC leadership uses this plan in making decisions on full-time and temporary labor as well as in supporting other decisions within the FC network.

A day in the life
The main task for the S&OP team is to gather Retail/FBA and partner inbound and outbound inventory flow forecasts on weekly basis and turn the forecast into an operational plan.
