Description
Project Kuiper is Amazon’s low Earth orbit satellite broadband network. Its mission is to deliver fast, reliable internet to customers and communities around the world, and we’ve designed the system with the capacity, flexibility, and performance to serve a wide range of customers, from individual households to schools, hospitals, businesses, government agencies, and other organizations operating in locations without reliable connectivity.Export Control Requirement:
Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
The Kuiper team is looking for a supply chain manager to support business and engineering stakeholders in managing business relationships and ASIC supply delivery with critical technology and service suppliers, and others as needed to execute on Kuiper objectives.
Key job responsibilities
The ideal candidate will have a successful track record in executing supplier strategies, managing supplier delivery performance. Experience working in new and ambiguous environments while solving complex problems with a broad range of cross functional stakeholders will be an advantage.
Job Responsibilities Include:
• Drive ASIC delivery through the product life cycle to achieve on time delivery at the right quality and cost
• Analyze supplier performance to proactively identify and execute projects/opportunities to minimize risk, protect continuity of supply
• Work with a range of stakeholders including business leaders, engineering leaders,quality, program management, and planning team for PCN management
• Influence suppliers' supply chain management, capacity scale up, manufacturing processes, in ways that are mutually beneficial and sustainable for both organizations
• Prioritize projects and activities to deliver maximum cost reductions and reliable supply
• Manage cross-functional projects against plans and objectives to meet commitments and goals
• Drive financial modeling of large and complex deals
• Evaluate and monitor critical supplier performance, including capacity, on-time delivery, and 2nd tier component management
• Ensure orders are released and on schedule to meet needs of the production system
• Effectively lead cross-functional meetings with clear document writing, agenda creation, note capture and follow-up activity coordination
• Proactively identify and mitigate risks to the supply chain
Qualifications
- 5+ years of program or project management experience- 5+ years of working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams experience
- 5+ years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics experience
- 5+ years of supply chain experience
- Bachelor's degree
- Knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) at an advanced level and SQL
- Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements
Extended Qualifications
- 5+ years of driving end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership experience- 5+ years of driving process improvements experience
- Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization
- Experience building processes, project management, and schedules

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $77,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $141,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
