Description
Amazon’s Last Mile Transportation is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Supply Chain Manager to join the Strategic Planning & Sourcing team.The Sr. Supply Chain Manager will work in a fast-paced, fluid environment and communicate business conditions and recommendations effectively with stakeholders across multiple groups and levels – from warehouse associates to various Amazon Directors and VPs. In this role our Sr. Supply Chain Manager will seek out problems, dive deep into data, earn trust of partner teams, and deliver results that can have a large-scale influence.
This role is a blend of short-term execution and long-term strategic planning, that requires quick thinking, with incomplete data, while also thinking big and influencing the long-term direction of the network. The end goal of this role is to answer the question of how we can fulfill more products to our customers in a safer, faster, more efficient, and more cost-effective manner.
Key job responsibilities
•Demonstrate strong Customer focus.
•Make sound business judgments to drive both tactical as well as strategic improvements.
•Own programmatic execution and the detailed and strategic levels.
•Identify, prioritize, and implement processes to eliminate defects in the supply chain.
•Create, develop, and drive solutions that guide to a richer end to end customer experience.
•Execute thorough root cause analysis and deliver results.
•Partner with customers and internal/external teams to ensure timelines and deliverables are met.
•Monitor and report on the progress of all project activity including significant milestones and conditions which would affect project cost or schedule.
•Solve ambiguous problems and proactively identify and mitigate risks before they become roadblocks.
•Develop mechanisms to keep track of reoccurring UIN issues (price variation, discontinued, etc) and share with Category Management.
•Track and submit UINs and Module changes/additions to Module Change Cycle POC/Team.
A day in the life
As a member of the Strategic Planning & Sourcing (SPS) Team within Amazon’s SSD FC Startup division, the role focuses on orchestrating the smooth launch and operation of new Rapid and Rural Logistics (R2L) sites. This involves working closely with cross-functional stakeholders, including execution teams, suppliers, and internal Amazon teams, to ensure that all planning, sourcing, and operational components align seamlessly. The role is integral to driving efficiency and innovation, ensuring projects are executed on time, within scope, and with optimal resource utilization. Key responsibilities include strategic oversight of site launches, procurement coordination, and stakeholder communication to guarantee the successful execution of startup projects.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of program or project management experience- 5+ years of supply chain experience
- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
- Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
- 5+ years experience with MS Excel based tools; Excel, pivot tables, Vlookup and ability to navigate and interpret data.
- 3+ Year of experience with Smartsheet creating templates, dashboard and reports.
- PMP Certification
Extended Qualifications
- Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field- 5+ years of driving process improvements experience

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $103,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $181,400/year in our highest geographic market.
