Description

The professional will work within the highly strategic function of Planning & Analytics team for Global Integrated Marketing (GIM). They will identify and evaluate strategic business opportunities, including new initiatives and partnerships. They support cross-functional teams across AWS marketing to assess these opportunities and build a fact basis for decision-making.

Key job responsibilities

• Build the structure and approach to ambiguous and complex analytical problems and translate analysis into actionable insights and recommendations for the business

• Develop business requirement to assess the impact of AWS marketing across channels and its effectiveness in creating a favorable selling environment and driving business growth

• Evaluate new marketing opportunities by modeling performance reflecting plausible scenarios or illustrating the limits of tolerable risks.

• Recommend strategies and tactics to streamline the current business operations processes for operational efficiency.

• Partner with other analytics teams and finance to continually improve measurement methodologies, synthesizing multiple points of view in a simple, clear manner

• Present findings and recommendations to the senior leadership team

About the team

Global Integrated Marketing (GIM) delivers global, integrated marketing programs that include ads, sponsorships, brand partnerships, web, email, social media, events, and digital to drive brand awareness, preference and adoption for AWS services. The GIM Planning and Analytics team works directly with GIM leadership team to drive strategic initiatives and shape the overall long-range marketing strategy for the business.



Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or comparable field of study.

- 3+ years of experience in Business or marketing strategy, Consulting, Corporate development, Finance, or operations

- 5+ years of advanced Excel skills (including VBA, pivot tables, array functions, power pivots, etc.)

- Experience making business recommendations and influencing stakeholders.

- Excellent written and oral communications skills (including structured thinking and attention to detail) with experience communicating and presenting with senior executives

- Exhibits sound business judgment, strong analytical skills, and a proven track record of taking ownership, leading data-driven analyses, and influencing results

- Experience defining business requirements and using data and metrics to draw business insights



Extended Qualifications

- MBA or equivalent Master’s degree in Marketing, or Finance.

- Proven project management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

- Experience running strategy engagements, and measuring effectiveness in B2B space

- Ability to measure, test, learn and iterate in order to get the best results possible

- Track record successfully navigating ambiguous situations

- Experience creating financial models to assess long-term value of investments

- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.

- Intellectual curiosity, a passion for data-driven decision-making, and a commitment to continuous learning and improvement.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $70,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $151,700/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
