Description

Seeking a Sr. Instock Manager to join Amazon Canada's Retail Hardlines business.

In this role you’ll own the inventory management strategy for some of the world’s most exiting and well known brands! You will be a member of a dynamic team that will drive supply chain improvements across multiple sourcing channels from around the world. Additionally, you’ll collaborate with some of the highest caliber vendor managers in one of the fastest growing and most exciting marketplaces.

A successful candidate must:

- Be highly organized

- Take initiative, without having to ask permission

- Possess strong data extraction and analytical acumen

- Build bridges and influence across functions and organizations

A strong candidate will also:

- Have knowledge of fundamental business principles and/or previous retail experience

- Possess advanced data extraction skills (i.e., SQL, Python)

- Understand how to read a P&L or have previous finance background

Key job responsibilities

- Joint planning and execution of retail strategies in partnership with our vendors and vendor managers

- Managing core Instock functions like buying, forecasting, assessing our inventory health, reporting and tracking KPIs

- Improving Instock systems and processes in partnership with partner teams

- Improving cost structure and profitability while optimizing our inventory



Qualifications

- 5+ years of with Excel experience

- Bachelor's degree, or 5+ years of professional or military experience

- Experience leading process improvement, systems development, and project management

- Experience communicating results to senior leadership

- Experience managing and analyzing large data sets



Extended Qualifications

- Knowledge of statistics or other analytical techniques

- Experience with SQL

- Experience delivering results by partnering with and influencing others

- Knowledge of P&L

- MBA or related Masters degree

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $109,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
