Description

The Amazon US Consumer Electronics organization is looking for a Sr. Strategic Supply Chain Manager. Candidates should possess a proven record of driving operational process improvements and thought leadership in inventory planning and operations.

The Sr. Strategic Supply Chain Manager will have end-to-end business ownership of all supply chain processes from manufacturer to customer. They will be responsible for establishing and driving inventory management strategies to maximize customer experience, while optimizing sales, margin and turns. They will use data to influence key decisions and business partners, as well as build sustainable and scalable systems & processes. In addition to ensuring Amazon has the right product quantities, in the right places, and at the right time, the Apple Sr Supply Chain Manager plays a critical role in shining a light on and partnering across central supply chain and operations teams to reduce cost-to-serve in the Amazon.com store. To achieve this mission, this role partners with the vendor management and customer support management teams; central supply chain, operations, and loss prevention teams; as well as the vendor (Apple) directly to identify and eliminate operational defects and deliver critical process automations that are sustainable and scalable.

The successful candidate is a highly organized self-starter, an effective team player, a critical thinker who has sound business judgement, and someone who possesses strong data extraction and analytical capabilities. They are able to self-manage competing priorities and possess strong written and verbal communication skills. Strong candidates will have knowledge in fundamental business principles and previous relevant experience. The ideal candidate is able to lead and influence both internal and external teams in an ambiguous environment while maintaining a customer-centric philosophy.

Key job responsibilities

**Supply Chain Operations & Planning**

Lead end-to-end supply chain planning and execution for Apple product categories

Manage inventory optimization and demand forecasting

Oversee procurement strategies and vendor relationship with vendor's reseller operations team

Drive supply chain efficiency improvements and cost reduction initiatives

**Cross-Functional Leadership**

Partner with product teams, operations, and finance to align supply chain strategies with business objectives

Lead cross-functional projects to improve supply chain processes

Collaborate with Apple stakeholders on product launches and lifecycle management

**Team Development & Stakeholder Management**

Coach and develop team members on supply chain fundamentals and opportunities

Build and maintain relationships with Apple representatives and internal stakeholders

Present supply chain metrics and insights to senior leadership

**Strategic Initiatives**

Develop and implement supply chain strategies that support healthy and sustainable business growth

Identify and mitigate supply chain risks

Drive continuous improvement initiatives using data-driven insights

Support new product introduction (NPI) processes

**Operational Excellence**

Monitor and improve key customer input metrics (SoROOS, iFCIS, PCSICFTI)

Ensure compliance with Amazon and Apple requirements

Manage escalations and resolve complex supply chain issues

Implement best practices and standard operating procedures inclusive of agentic workflows

The US Apple Retail Team at Amazon sits at the intersection of two of the world’s most trusted and innovative brands. This team exists to create sparks - we are unafraid of the friction required to challenge the status quo and we delight in fanning new ideas into flames working in partnership with Apple and internal teams. Our primary responsibilities as a team are to 1) ensure the best possible buying CX for Apple products customers are seeking, new and renewed; 2) maximize long term FCF in the Amazon.com store; and 3) look for new opportunities to profitably scale the Apple business and scale the processes and features developed for Apple to the Consumer Electronics org and broader Amazon Stores.



Qualifications

- 5+ years of with Excel experience

- Bachelor's degree, or 5+ years of professional or military experience

- Experience working with complex data sets

- Experience communicating results to senior leadership



Extended Qualifications

- Knowledge of statistics or other analytical techniques

- Experience with SQL

- Experience building agentic workflows

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
