Description
The Customer Success Center of Excellence (CS COE) is seeking a Strategic Initiatives Lead to drive business expansion and shape the next phase of our customer success strategy across multiple AWS domains.This role focuses on translating customer insights, engagement data, and market signals into clear strategic recommendations that guide organizational evolution, customer value realization, and AWS revenue growth. The Strategic Initiatives Lead will analyze feedback, engagement patterns, and performance metrics to identify expansion opportunities across AWS technology domains, with plans to broaden scope over time.
The ideal candidate is a structured thinker who excels at solving complex analytical problems, building strategic models, and synthesizing diverse data sources into compelling narratives that drive business decisions. This person will work closely with leadership to develop monetization strategies and partner/customer payment/incentive models. The candidate should have a track record of managing multiple concurrent strategic initiatives with competing priorities, and a demonstrated ability to drive initiatives from concept to execution with measurable business outcomes.
This is a highly analytical and strategic role that requires strong problem solving skills, judgment, intellectual curiosity, and the ability to convert complex information into actionable insights for senior leaders.
Key job responsibilities
- Translate customer and partner insights, engagement data, adoption metrics, and feedback into strategic recommendations that identify beachhead opportunities and business expansion opportunities across AWS domains
- Develop monetization strategies and partner/customer payment/incentive models
- Build analytical frameworks, service impact models, and evaluation tools that help leadership assess strategic opportunities, prioritize business expansion initiatives, and optimize resource allocation across customer segments and domains
- Structure ambiguous strategic questions about business expansion and revenue generation into clear analytical problems, then synthesize quantitative analysis and qualitative insights into strategic narratives that support executive decision-making
- Develop high-quality strategy documents, executive presentations, and analytical narratives for leadership reviews, external speaking engagements, conferences, and customer forums
- Influence C-level executives and cross-functional leadership teams while navigating complex organizational structures to drive strategic alignment on business expansion initiatives
- Manage relationships with external partners and stakeholders to support monetization and revenue strategies
- Manage multiple concurrent strategic initiatives with competing priorities across different AWS domains

Qualifications
- Experience assessing complex data sets and developing recommendations based on assessments- 7+ years of experience in strategy, management consulting, analytics, or business strategy roles in a B2B high-tech environment
- Experience building analytical models that inform business expansion, monetization strategies, or resource allocation decisions
- Understanding of partner ecosystem dynamics and channel business models
- Familiarity with customer success metrics and value realization frameworks (Time to Value, adoption metrics, ROI measurement)
Extended Qualifications
- Experience producing executive-level written materials and presenting to executive audiences- MBA, or Advanced degree
- Management consulting experience (McKinsey, BCG, Bain, or equivalent strategy consulting firms)
- Experience developing monetization strategies or revenue models for customer success or professional services organizations
- Experience with AWS services, cloud technology business models, and SaaS environments
- Demonstrated ability to identify opportunities across multiple product domains while working in ambiguous, fast-paced environments with minimal direction

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
