We are seeking a highly self-driven Sourcing & Procurement professional to support our Mechanical Engineering team with new hardware development and supplier engagement. This role will own end-to-end procurement activities including vendor identification, SOW development, contract negotiation, delivery tracking, and cross-functional coordination with Engineering and Legal.
The ideal candidate combines strong technical procurement experience with exceptional organizational skills, enabling them to independently manage vendors, establish scalable procurement processes, and ensure on-time delivery of hardware and engineering services in a fast-paced development environment.
Key job responsibilities
- Own sourcing and procurement activities for new mechanical hardware, prototypes, and engineering services
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard new vendors and contract manufacturers aligned with technical and business requirements
- Develop and manage Statements of Work (SOWs), RFQs/RFPs, and supplier selection processes
- Lead commercial negotiations including pricing, lead times, payment terms, and contract conditions
- Serve as the primary liaison between suppliers, Mechanical Engineering, Program Management, and Legal
- Ensure supplier contracts meet technical requirements, compliance standards, and legal guidelines
- Track vendor deliverables, schedules, risks, and dependencies to ensure on-time execution
- Implement and maintain internal procurement workflows within the ERP system (Epsilon 3)
- Define, document, and continuously improve procurement and sourcing processes
- Proactively identify risks, supply chain constraints, and mitigation strategies
- Operate with minimal day-to-day oversight, providing clear status updates and recommendations to leadership
Qualifications
- 6+ years of related industry experience- 8+ years of data analysis using tools such as Excel, Pivot Tables, SQL, Tableau, or equivalent experience
- 8+ years of high volume manufacturing operations or sourcing environments experience
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related field
- Experience in high-volume manufacturing operations or sourcing environments
- Experience with Continuous Improvement and Six Sigma methodologies
- Experience in global supply chain management, managing cross-functional teams in a fast-paced consumer electronics product company
- Experience in program, project or product management, or leading product implementation
Extended Qualifications
- Master's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field- Experience in negotiations with global suppliers with a proven track record in cost reduction
- Experience in procurement practices working with engineering, supply chain and Tier 1 OEM partners
- Experience practicing best-in-class procurement processes (category management, benchmarking, should-cost models, RFX, reverse auction, contracting, or equivalent)

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
