We are seeking a results-oriented individual to manage our Procurement operations, reports, metrics, and work with key internal stakeholders across different Organizations. This role will fall under the Supply Chain organization for the Amazon Web Services (AWS) Power & Cooling team. The ideal candidate is a self-starter and a creative critical thinker with an intense curiosity and learning drive. You must be able to communicate appropriately and effectively with people at every level.

As a member of the Power & Cooling team, you will manage Procurement Operations activities for Power and Cooling Equipment supporting AWS datacenter build projects. You will be responsible and accountable for accurate and timely RFQ, supplier onboarding, purchase request entries to make sure that the right equipment arrives at the right place at the right time. You will work with our internal customers and business partners to identify accurate information related to RFQ, supplier onboarding, purchase request entries and timing requirements as well as remove any blockers from progressing the procurement process to the next stage.

Key job responsibilities

As a Sourcing Operations Specialist, you will:

Generate RFQ (Request for Quote) according to forecasted needs

Track and communicate quotes with internal partners

Continuously work with the team to improve current processes

Collaborate with suppliers, to ensure timely quotes and quality/specification compliance

Proactively communicate risks and issues to key stakeholders and recommend mitigations

Onboard new suppliers to procurement systems

Create Purchase Orders for the builds assigned

Manage change orders for the builds assigned

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field, or additional 4+ years of related experience in lieu of a degree

- 2+ years of experience in order management, procurement, category management, business analytics, or similar role.

- 2+ years of experience with MS Office Suite including MS Excel and MS Word



Extended Qualifications

- Strong verbal/written communication and data presentation skills, including an ability to effectively communicate with both business and technical teams

- Ability to deal with ambiguity and competing objectives in a fast-paced environment.

- Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and analytical platforms as well as SQL and Tableau.

- Strong financial acumen

- Excellent organizational skills including prioritizing, scheduling, time management, and ability to meeting deadlines.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $55,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $120,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
