Key job responsibilities
Ring Appstore is currently seeking an experienced Solution Architect to work with external technology partners and internal Ring engineering teams to manage technical integrations for the Ring Appstore marketplace. This role will focus on developing strong technical partnerships with video analytics providers, business intelligence platforms, security system integrators, and enterprise software vendors seeking to integrate with Ring's video security ecosystem.
The Solution Architect will design and improve API specifications, integration workflows, and developer tools for the AVA (Amazon Vision API) platform and broader Ring API ecosystem. You'll drive innovations in video data access, event-driven architectures, and real-time streaming capabilities that enable partners to build compelling applications at scale. This role also represents Ring Appstore to the wider IoT and security industry, contributing to working groups and helping to define future standards for smart home and commercial security integrations.
Core Responsibilities:
Partner with external developers and ISVs to architect scalable integration solutions using Ring APIs (AVA, device control, event management, authentication)
Design technical onboarding workflows and integration patterns that accelerate partner time-to-market
Develop and maintain API specifications, reference architectures, and best practices documentation for the Ring developer community
Collaborate with Ring device teams, AWS services, and Amazon retail to ensure seamless cross-platform experiences
Drive technical due diligence and solution validation for commercial and residential use cases
Provide technical leadership on security, privacy, and compliance requirements for third-party integrations
Identify and resolve technical blockers in the partner pipeline across
Contribute to product roadmap prioritization based on partner feedback and market requirements
Represent Ring Appstore at industry conferences, developer events, and technical working groups
Qualifications
- 5+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience- 5+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience
- Experience working with end user or developer communities
- Knowledge of software development tools and methodologies

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $118,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $204,300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
