Sales, Marketing and Global Services (SMGS)AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector. The AWS Global Support team interacts with leading companies and believes that world-class support is critical to customer success. AWS Support also partners with a global list of customers that are building mission-critical applications on top of AWS services.

The Marketing, Technology, and Measurement (MTM) organization is seeking a talented Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer to join our Privacy and Identity Experiences team. In this role, you will be at the forefront of developing innovative solutions that ensure user privacy and while building new experiences that use customers' identity to deliver more personalized, secure, and connected experiences. As a Full-stack engineer, you will own products and features across the entire stack, from frontend, to API, to backend. As a Senior engineer, you will set the technical direction for our team.
Key job responsibilities
- Lead software projects that require the work of multiple engineers.
- Own team architecture, providing a system-wide view and design guidance.
- Define technology strategy for software projects within and outside our team.
- Work on problems with multiple risks and roadblocks using solutions that are as simple as possible.
- Effectively communicate technical designs and decisions in writing.
- Build both internal and customer-facing applications, tools, and platforms that streamline and scale the AWS Marketing tech stack.
- Participate in all stages of the development life-cycle, spanning design, development, testing, and operation.
- Iterate on product features based on user feedback.
- Build and operate entire applications end-to-end, across UI, API, Database, and Infrastructure.
- Drive design and security reviews to help improve the quality of all our services.
- Generate new ideas for improving operational capabilities for the AWS Marketing tech team.
- Modernize existing tech stacks and solutions.
- Mentor more junior engineers.

Qualifications
- 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience- 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
- 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team
Extended Qualifications
- 5+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $151,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $261,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
