Description
We are seeking a Senior Software Development Manager to join our AI Security organization, and to lead a software engineering team that builds security tooling and paved path solutions to ensure AI based experiences developed by Amazon uphold our high security standards to protect customer data and trust. This role will be responsible for creating software development strategy, executing on roadmaps, partnering with applied scientists and security engineers to develop innovative technologies to solve our hardest AI security problems, and building paved path solutions that support builder teams across Amazon throughout their software development journey, enabling Amazon businesses to accelerate the use of AI to enhance our user experiences and delight our customers. You will be leading an engineering team that values software development best practices in building and owning mission critical security solutions with high standards of developer experience, scalability, reliability, and performance. Qualifications
- 10+ years of engineering experience- 5+ years of engineering team management experience
- 10+ years of planning, designing, developing and delivering consumer software experience
- Experience partnering with product or program management teams
- Experience managing multiple concurrent programs, projects and development teams in an Agile environment
Extended Qualifications
- Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and livesite operations- 5 years of experience managing the building and deployment of information security or AI solutions at scale.
- Understanding of information security frameworks and compliance requirements.
- Demonstrated ability to work through ambiguity to detailed solutions.
- Effective written and oral communication with multiple levels of business and technical leadership.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $198,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $342,300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
