Description
Amazon Leo is an initiative to launch a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites that will provide low-latency, high-speed broadband connectivity to unserved and underserved communities around the world.Have you wanted an opportunity to develop the software applications and services for an advanced global internet connectivity service? The Leo Payload Radio team is responsible for the software and services for Payload Mode Management, Paylaod phased Array Antenna (PAA) platform, Payload Radio Link management. This team oversees the development of architecture, solutions, and a roadmap for managing embedded systems within payload, as well as applications for space maintenance, telemetry, over-the-air updates, and various other features. As the Software Development Manager of this team, you will guide a group of engineers in addressing these challenges, while also focusing on team development and upholding a high standard for delivery quality.

About the team
Leo is an initiative to launch a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites that will provide low-latency, high-speed broadband connectivity to unserved and underserved communities around the world.
The Leo Payload software team is responsible for life-cycle management of RF links, and transporting customer data and Leo management/control traffic over RF & Optical links in the Leo system.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of engineering team management experience- Bachelor's degree
- Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and livesite operations
Extended Qualifications
- Master's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics or equivalent- 5+ years of working directly within engineering teams experience

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
