Description
We are building new capabilities in the Amazon Web Service (AWS) Agentic AI / Automated Reasoning (AR) group, by using Automated Reasoning in new, novel and exciting ways to enhance AWS services such as code correctness and Agent action safety. The position is based in Seattle, Washington.We are seeking a talented and passionate Software Development Engineer who wishes to work at the intersection of Automated Reasoning, AI and AWS services. This team will specifically work on code verification using automated reasoning including building agents and using reasoning tools.
As a Senior Software Engineer on this team, you will become an expert on applying formal reasoning methods for code correctness and agentic safety. This includes technologies such as SAT/SMT solvers and Lean, a leading open-source functional programming language and interactive theorem prover designed for formal verification, mathematics, and high-performance software development and provide technical leadership on a new AWS service.

Qualifications
- 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience- 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
- 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team
Extended Qualifications
- 5+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
