As the Software Engineer for our Marketing Orchestration Team, you'll be part of a transformative initiative that's reshaping how businesses leverage artificial intelligence in their marketing strategies. Our platform uniquely coordinates multiple AI agents to optimize marketing campaigns in real-time, pushing the boundaries of what's possible in automated decision-making and campaign execution. The Events Tech team seeks talented engineers who take great pride in both the technical and business contribution of their work. You will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on the business, our systems, and perhaps most importantly, our customers.Key job responsibilities
- Designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded or distributed software applications, tools, systems and services using: Object-oriented design; and Java.
- Create solutions to run predictions on distributed systems with exposure to innovative technologies at incredible scale and speed.
- Build systems that are scalable, fault-tolerant, low cost, and easy to manage/use.
- Design and code the right solutions starting with broadly defined problems.
- Work in an agile environment to deliver high-quality software.
- Produce comprehensive, usable software documentation.
- Translate functional requirements into robust, efficient, supportable solutions that work well within the overall system architecture.
- Participate in the full development cycle, end-to-end, from design, implementation, and testing to documentation, delivery and maintenance.
- Onboard and mentor junior development engineers.
About the team
The WW Events Tech team at Amazon hosts Deals based events (e.g., Prime Day), Seasonal Events (e.g., Back to School) and Cultural & Community occasions (e.g., Black History Month). This team builds and powers high-volume, automated technical solutions that scale for high traffic. You will be working closely with multiple teams to translate their business requirements to a tech solution involving API's, two way communication layer. You will also have the opportunity to design and build systems from the ground up to support events in Amazon.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of non-internship professional software development experience- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language
Extended Qualifications
- 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $129,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
