Amazon Payments Services is currently hiring for a Sr. Security TPM!Amazon Payments Services build systems that process payments at an unprecedented scale, with accuracy, speed, and mission-critical availability. We process millions of transactions every day worldwide across various payment methods. Over 100 million customers and merchants send hundreds of billions of dollars moving at light-speed through our systems annually.
We are looking for a highly skilled, experienced, and motivated senior leader to lead our application security improvement initiatives across Amazon Payments. This includes programs to uncover security risks in existing systems and proactive security programs to enable our engineering team to release software that is secure by default. You will bring thought leadership, innovate and solve security challenges at a massive scale. A successful candidate will have strong expertise in web services security coupled with strong program management skills, and the ability to work within a fast-paced startup culture in a large company that has broad business impact.

You will leverage your subject matter expertise to partner with other senior leaders in Amazon and AWS Information Security to drive strategy for application security improvements.
Key job responsibilities
- Manage complex cross-functional programs with significant organizational impact, including product development, multi-organization initiatives, and large-scale projects
- Define and execute program strategy, including mission, vision, and tenets, while setting clear objectives and measurable success criteria
- Drive technical decision-making by understanding system architectures, limitations, and scaling factors, partnering with Senior/Principal Engineers to ensure solutions meet business requirements
- Lead resource allocation and priority-setting through data-driven analysis and strategic trade-off decisions involving time, effort, and features
- Oversee cross-team collaboration and system integration, identifying and mitigating potential risks and failure modes before they become roadblocks
- Develop and maintain program roadmaps, contributing to OP1/OP2 narratives and owning organizational goals
- Monitor and analyze program metrics, continuously seeking improved data visibility and ensuring alignment with organizational objectives
- Streamline development processes and influence teams to eliminate technical dependencies and architectural limitations that impede innovation
- Create and present effective technical narratives to senior leadership, building consensus among stakeholders with divergent views
- Mentor and develop team members, provide constructive feedback to peers, and participate in technical promotion assessments

Qualifications
- 6+ years of technical product or program management experience- 3+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience
- Experience managing technical programs across cross-functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
- Possess system design knowledge and expertise to drive technical decisions and anticipate technical risks
Extended Qualifications
- 5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience- Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $133,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $231,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
