Key job responsibilities

As a successful Sr. Security TPM within GME Security, you will be a leader who prioritizes well, communicates clearly and understands how to drive a high level of operational and strategic excellence within a team, while collaborating with a variety of internal and external business partners.

Security Strategy and Leadership:

- Develop and champion a holistic security strategy that aligns with business objectives and prioritizes customer experience enhancement.

- Collaborate with executive leadership to communicate the strategic importance of security in delivering exceptional customer experiences.

- Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of security professionals, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

- Collaborate with product, engineering, design, and customer experience teams to integrate security measures seamlessly into the product development lifecycle.

- Serve as a trusted advisor, educating teams on security best practices while fostering a collaborative and inclusive environment that balances security requirements with user needs.

Customer-Centric Security Initiatives:

- Identify opportunities to enhance customer experiences through security measures, such as frictionless authentication methods and transparent privacy features.

- Champion the implementation of new security technologies that not only protect customers but also enhance their interactions with our products and services.

Risk Management and Compliance:

- Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to ensure security measures adhere to relevant regulations and standards, while minimizing impact on customer experiences.

- Assess and manage security risks, proactively identifying potential vulnerabilities and designing mitigation strategies that align with business goals.

Innovation and Continuous Improvement:

- Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies, identifying opportunities to leverage advancements in security to create innovative customer experiences.

- Lead the evaluation and adoption of new tools, techniques, and methodologies that enhance security while maintaining seamless customer interactions.

A day in the life

As a successful Technical Program Manager within Global Media and Entertainment Security, you will be seen as a leader who prioritizes well, communicates clearly and understands how to drive a high level of operational and strategic excellence within a team, while collaborating with a variety of internal and external business partners. You must show exemplary judgment in making technical trade-offs between short- versus long-term security and business goals. A successful candidate must handle several difficult challenges and problems, and make risk-based assessments founded on data and facts rather than older static based security paradigms while being aware of the older best practices.

About the team



Qualifications

- 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience

- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules

- Experience building and evaluating system-level technical design

- Experience developing and executing/delivering product and technical roadmaps

- Experience implementing repeatable processes and driving automation or standardization

- Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements



Extended Qualifications

- 5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience

- Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules

- Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership

- Experience defining and delivering both product and technical roadmaps within large diverse organizations

- Are comfortable making decisions on behalf of and in support of highly technical project teams

- Are comfortable generating automated metrics to measure service and program effectiveness and consistency

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $133,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $231,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
