Description

We are seeking an experienced, self-motivated Security Technical Program Manager who will help identify opportunities for improvement and define and drive delivery of automated solutions.

We assess risk, classify data and systems, scale adoption through automation and enable the business to guard the confidentiality and integrity of Amazon and customer data while creating a seamless experience for our stakeholders. Our mission includes instilling awareness to safeguard all customer and employee data, applications, services, and assets. To accomplish this, we work with Amazon organizations to build security best practices into enterprise-wide systems.

Our guidance and leadership equip our partners to maintain high security standards. This team dives deep into security technologies and continuously raises the security bar across Amazon by tackling complex problems that require widespread support and multi-year execution plans. Amazon Stores Security is looking for a Technical Program Manager to work across Security Governance and our broader Regulation Tech and Assurance organization to define enhancements and efficiencies that will improve processes, customer experience and posture. This role is foundational to support cross-functional initiatives to modernize and scale our long term security vision for customer trust, solving our most challenging problems with novel solutions. In this Technical Program Management role, you will work with cross-functional teams of technical and non-technical key stakeholders to define and operationalize strategy and interpret, communicate, and drive full lifecycle security projects.

Key job responsibilities

- Develop and implement scalable solutions leveraging automation and intelligence;

- Perform in-depth data analysis and identify commonality, themes and root cause mitigation strategies;

- Establish feedback loops across Security Governance programs leveraging data and insights;

- Proactively identify and resolve challenges and issues that may impair the team’s ability to meet strategic, business, and technical goals;

- Understand Business Information Security Risk and provide insights for resource prioritization;

- Establish regular reporting mechanisms for measuring compliance and performance of Management projects;

- Work with security engineers and others to develop technical risk mitigation strategies and approaches;

- Understand and manage cross-functional requirements to translate them into an optimal solution. Be comfortable with hands-on day-to-day problem solving and implementing quick and effective action plans to meet short- and long-term priorities.

Qualifications

- 5+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience

- 2+ years of technical product or program management experience

- 2+ years of software development experience

- 3+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience

- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules



Extended Qualifications

- 3+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $114,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $197,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
