Description
Our team owns Alexa's proactive experiences, where we are building cutting-edge solutions powered by LLMs to deliver relevant and timely content (e.g. notifications, suggestions) to Alexa customers. We own a strategic platform that delivers 1 billion notifications to over 80 million Alexa customers every month.The primary focus of these roles is to design and develop LLM-based solutions that can proactively deliver the most relevant and important content to our customers. This involves leveraging advanced natural language processing techniques and machine learning algorithms to understand user preferences, context, and intent. Key job responsibilities
As a key member of the engineering team, you will have influence on our product and technology strategy by helping define the product features, refine system architecture, and spearhead best practices that enable a quality product.
You will be successfully setting up the architecture foundation for the next phase of the product and beyond. A commitment to teamwork, hustle, and strong communication skills (to both business and technical partners) are absolute requirements. Creating a reliable, scalable, and high-performance service requires exceptional technical expertise, a sound understanding of the fundamentals of Computer Science, and practical experience building large-scale distributed systems.
You should enjoy working on complex system software, is customer-centric, and feels strongly about building good software as well as making that software achieve its operational goals.

Qualifications
- 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience- 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
- 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team
Extended Qualifications
- 5+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $151,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $261,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
