The AWS AFX - Planning Tools team is looking for a passionate, innovative, results-oriented Salesforce Developer to build solutions that make it simpler for our field team to manage and operate at scale. As a Salesforce Developer on the Planning Tools team, you’ll contribute to defining and building the next Go-To-Market (GTM) platform for the AWS Sales organization. In addition to working on the latest Salesforce technologies, you’ll have the opportunity to innovate in the space of Sales Planning and Management. You’ll be chartered with creating and operating applications that deliver critical capabilities to the field, and with embedding operational knowledge and encoding best practices into everything we do.

We're looking for individuals who are comfortable with ambiguity, enjoy solving large scale business challenges, and enjoy working in a startup-like environment.

Key job responsibilities

• Own all aspects of architecture, end-to end-design, development, security, design/development best practices, integration and deployment (CI/CD), release architecture and automation regression testing

• Perform technical analysis, design, development, implementation of applications with necessary customization

• Participate in the planning and analysis of requirements for system enhancements, translating requirements into well-architecture solutions that best use Salesforce Territory Planning/Salesforce Maps.

• Support cross systems and related integrations across Salesforce platform

• Build solutions on Salesforce platform, including development in Force.com, Lightning Web Components, Visualforce, Apex and Web Services

• Work with a cross-functional Scrum team to maintain and enhance Salesforce applications in iterative release cycles

• Troubleshoot and fix defects for planned releases and production issues

• Research and find opportunities to utilize Salesforce best practices, guidelines to improve system productivity, scaling and monitoring

Qualifications

- 6+ years of designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience

- 6+ years of non-internship professional software development experience

- Knowledge of integrations, third-party integration tools and ETL with Salesforce

- 7+ years of experience in Salesforce.com platform and Certified Salesforce Developer

- Lightning web components, Visualforce, Apex Classes/Controllers, Apex Triggers development experience



Extended Qualifications

- Experience leading the design, build and deployment of complex and performant (reliable and scalable) software solutions in production

- Experience taking a leading role in building complex software or computing infrastructure that has been successfully delivered to customers

- Experience in communicating with executives to describe software product features, technical designs, and product strategy

- Experience working across functional teams and senior stakeholders

- Experience implementing Salesforce Territory Planning/Maps and Salesforce Platform Events

- Certified Salesforce Platform Developer or equivalent experience

- Experience with specification driven development and AI agent solutions in production

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
