Estimated salary: $219,950
Range: $187,000 - $252,900

Description

We're looking for a dynamic sales leader who thrives at the intersection of people, strategy, and the latest technology.

You'll lead a national team of Account Managers who own relationships with some of the most recognizable eCommerce, retail technology, and direct-to-consumer brands in America. These are companies reshaping how people shop, and you'll be the one helping them do it on AWS.

What makes this role different? You're not inheriting a playbook, you're writing it. The eCommerce Pure Play segment is one of the fastest-moving spaces in cloud, and your customers are building with AI, modernizing data platforms, and scaling globally—all at the same time. Your job is to build a team that can keep up, stay ahead, and make it look easy.

You'll be a first-line leader (we call it a District Manager internally) responsible for coaching, developing, and inspiring a team of experienced sales professionals spread across the country. You'll set the vision for how we show up with eCommerce customers, drive revenue growth, and create the kind of culture where people do the best work of their careers.

If you're the type of leader who gets energy from helping others win—from the rep who just landed their first large deal to the customer who just went live on Bedrock—this is your role.

Key job responsibilities

• Recruit, hire, coach, and develop a national team of Account Managers; build a bench of talent that sets the standard for the org

• Full revenue accountability for your territory: own quota attainment, pipeline coverage, and strategic growth across a portfolio of eCommerce and retail technology customers

• Develop and execute strategic territory and account plans aligned to AWS Retail & CPG priorities: AI growth leadership, data platform modernization, strategic commitments (PPAs), and executive engagement

• Maintain forecast discipline: a healthy, well-qualified pipeline with precision on what's going to land, what's at risk, and the plan to close the gap

• Build trusted C-suite and VP-level relationships within customer organizations; help retail leaders reimagine their businesses with AI, analytics, and modern infrastructure

• Orchestrate the AWS OneTeam: leverage Solutions Architects, Specialists, Partners, ProServe, and AWS leadership to bring the full weight of AWS to your customers' biggest opportunities

• Champion your customers internally: advocate for their needs, drive case studies, references, and proof points that showcase what's possible in eCommerce on AWS

• Foster a high-performance team culture rooted in customer obsession, ownership, and continuous improvement

• Drive adoption of GenAI and Agentic AI solutions across your customer base

• Represent AWS at industry events, executive briefings, and customer engagements

A day in the life

Morning: coaching a rep through a deal strategy, then jumping into a session with your SA team to map out an AI play for a major customer's board presentation.

Afternoon: a listening call with a customer CTO — connecting dots, not pitching — followed by forecast reviews where you ask the questions that matter: "What changed? What's the path to yes? What do you need from me?"

You wrap the day celebrating a win in the team channel. No two days look the same. That's the point.
