Are you ready to get in on the ground floor of Amazon Leo, Amazon’s long-term initiative to launch a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites that will provide low-latency, high-speed broadband connectivity to unserved and underserved communities around the world? It’s Day 1 for Amazon’s next billion dollar business and we are looking for an entrepreneurial minded Senior Accounting Manager to work in a start-up environment who is passionate about space, technology and bringing high, speed low latency internet to the world.Key job responsibilities
The ideal candidate will be entrepreneurial by nature, analytical in approach and have a demonstrated ability to think broadly and strategically about global initiatives and the impact to accounting. This role requires a self-starter, a keen attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced ambiguous environment. This position will have the responsibility for leading the accounting for Project Kuiper go-to-market initiativess including working cross organizationally with business, finance and finance tech teams to implement new finance systems infrastructure and reporting needs to support business growth. In addition, this position will be expected to understand internal control design concepts sufficient to assess the effectiveness of controls in their area and to influence the design of systems, processes and controls for emerging and growing business activities. Technical accounting research and position paper writing will also be a requirement for this position.
Qualifications
- 12+ years of finance or a related analytical field experience- Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
Extended Qualifications
- CPA- Knowledge of internal control framework (specifically COSO)
- Knowledge of GAAP research tools and the FASB codification
- Experience in accounting management in Big Four with Fortune 500 clients
- Experience in operational accounting with one or more Fortune 500 companies

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
