Estimated salary: $104,800
Range: $66,800 - $142,800

Description

AWS re/Start is a workforce development program. Created as a direct response to our customers and partners who were finding it difficult to source cloud talent on the open market, AWS re/Start has successfully provided diverse cloud talent for the last four years.

The program takes unemployed, under-employed and under-represented populations and re-skills them into cloud professionals. The socio-economic impact is two-fold – it increases the number of people working and therefore actively involved in the economy, whilst enabling organizations to adopt cloud technologies at pace, which in turn makes their business more efficient and successful.

AWS Training and Certification is seeking a dynamic, organized, and experienced Program Manager, who is passionate about stimulating positive social change. This individual will join the AWS re/Start team and be focused on the Indian subcontinent.

The successful candidate must be a fluent English speaker. They will be able to take ownership of their region by building an effective network of delivery organizations, work placement channels and earning the trust of the relevant internal stakeholders to support the successful launch and growth of the program across their country.

The candidate will establish solid working relationships with other AWS teams in order to access local funding mechanisms, identify underemployed, unemployed and under-represented communities, deliver the re-skilling program and monitor the impact of the program and continuously seek ways to improve the effectiveness of the program in their region.

You must have a collaborative work style, an entrepreneurial mindset and the ability to manage multiple workstreams. You are experienced and passionate about technology and training, are extremely data-driven, and willing to dive deep to understand the talent needs of AWS customers and partners in order to inform the delivery roadmap. The candidate would benefit from a background of Business Development and delivery large-scale programs in the technology talent industry.

Key job responsibilities

• Collaborate with the AWS re/Start Leader to deliver the AWS re/Start AMER roadmap.

• Use your localized knowledge to establish a network across public bodies, charities and corporate organizations to socialize AWS re/Start and to identify opportunities for the program.

• Build an understanding of the job market, engaging with prospective employers.

• Build sustainable business models across the priority countries in the AWS re/Start roadmap.

• Engage directly with AWS business development and account teams as well as AWS customers and partners to establish entry-level resource gaps, which if fulfilled, would support the customers’ Cloud Adoption journey and provide a job placement for an AWS re/Start individual(s).

• Monitor the execution of the program through Collaborating Organizations, paying particular attention to the job placement success levels.

• Track and report key performance indicators and provide additional support and guidance to the collaborating organizations, where appropriate.

• Work with marketing and public relations teams to promote the brand and the program.
