Description
Amazon Devices and Services Design creates revolutionary products used by millions of customers worldwide, including Fire TV, Fire Tablet, and the Alexa family of devices and endpoints. The Design Research team is a driving force behind informed product decisions, integrating mixed-methods research and analytics throughout the entire product development lifecycle. We're seeking an exceptional Sr. Quantitative Researcher to transform complex data into actionable insights that shape the future of our products. This role sits at the intersection of statistical rigor and human-centered design, directly influencing product strategy and customer experience (CX).Key job responsibilities
* Collaborate with product and design teams to identify the most important research questions to answer
* Build, communicate, and maintain research roadmaps
* Design and conduct quantitative research to inform and evaluate product and CX investments
* Apply methods including surveys, A/B tests, statistical modeling, mixed-method studies, or other approaches (existing or invented) that you determine to be most effective
* Synthesize multiple data sources into actionable insights
* Triangulate survey insights with engagement metrics in partnership with business intelligence
* Build mechanisms for regularly communicating insights leveraging strong writing and data visualization skills
* Influence decision-makers at all levels to act on insights, driving customer delight and business objectives

Qualifications
- 3+ years of investigating the feasibility of applying scientific principles and concepts to business problems and products experience- PhD, or Master's degree and 5+ years of quantitative field research experience
- Experience with big data technologies such as AWS, Hadoop, Spark, Pig, Hive etc.
- Experience communicating qualitative research methods and findings to non-qualitative researchers
Extended Qualifications
- Experience converting research studies into tangible real-world changes- Experience with discrete and continuous optimization methodologies and algorithms

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $143,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $247,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
