As a Quality Assurance Manager, you will drive key engineering and business decisions that impact Amazon's long-term vision, including delivering high-quality customer experiences and services to our internal (DSCX Tech & Business teams) and external customers. You will create and implement a strategy driving the quality of our products to a world-class level while managing a team of Quality Assurance professionals. In addition to experience with building and leading successful QA teams, we're looking for someone to drive quality through both software, automation, and process improvements across multiple development teams.

The successful Quality Assurance Manager will be responsible for leading quality improvement, experienced and highly committed to creating maintainable automation, tooling, frameworks, influencing teams across organizations in their testing strategies, and feature testing. They should be able to develop and drive automation strategy, as well as take a hands-on approach to implementing that strategy. In this role, you will:
- Work directly with product management and development teams to understand the product vision and requirements.
- Take part in hiring and developing a team of engineers and mentor them through coaching, feedback, and setting development goals.
- Strategize, develop, and manage quality assurance measures and testing standards for new applications and/or enhancements to existing applications.
- Oversee the development and execution of test plans and monitor and report on test execution.
- Work with a team of QAE/SDETs to ensure the highest quality product delivery.
- Work with team members and actively participate in improving the team culture every day.
- Drive process improvements to improve the team's speed, quality, and efficiency.
- Create Quality KPIs and take actions to drive the teams to deliver perfect quality products and re-validations.
Qualifications
- 1+ years of quality assurance engineering experience- 3+ years of quality assurance teams management experience
- Experience in manual testing
- Experience in automation testing
- Experience managing manual testers
- Experience managing automation testers
- Experience testing web technologies and back-end services
- Experience identifying and reviewing test plans, test cases and testing results with a strong QA background
Extended Qualifications
- Experience preparing quality metrics and effectively engaging with stakeholders to set and drive quality goals- Experience transforming QA programs from manual to automation

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $132,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $228,100/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
