Amazon is seeking motivated and hardworking individuals to fill a Purchasing Assistant position at our IT Warehouse in Renton. This IT Warehouse supports IT Offices throughout the Seattle area and across the U.S. Our team approaches work as seeing no job as too small and no challenge as too big!Be a part of operating the world鈥檚 largest cloud computing infrastructure. Amazon Web Services is seeking an experienced Purchasing Assistant to support the development of procurement, metrics and strategies.
This person will manage inventory planning for IT equipment and non-inventory to support the IT warehouse located in AMER.
This critical role will require the ability to establish and build relationships with both global team and internal customer- operation teams independently. The ideal candidate possesses a strong work ethic, attention to detail, the ability to meet deadlines, and a commitment to Operational Excellence. This person will possess strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills and will have demonstrated the ability to collaborate within a group or team environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in planning.
Key job responsibilities
路 Ongoing inventory review and replenishment to ensure to meet stock target.
路 Review new equipment landing plan and identify and address gaps in coverage. Prepare stock to support new equipment operation.
路 Execute stock rebalancing through transfers between locations and purchasing.
路 Monitors performance and capabilities of vendors to ensure on time delivery.
路 Analyze existing business processes and logic, identify gap and initiative process improvement.
路 Develop, implement, and provide summary and detailed inventory analysis reports to management.
路 Perform other projects, analyses and data extraction as assigned.
路 Responsible for metrics of availability and inventory turns.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of procurement experience- 1+ years of Microsoft Office products and applications experience
- Bachelor's degree
Extended Qualifications
- 1+ years of telecommunication technology experience- 1+ years of project coordination experience

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $41,800/year in our lowest geographic market up to $83,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
