Description
Amazon Global Engineering Services (GES) is seeking a detail-oriented, analytical, innovative, and customer-obsessed Project Manager to own and manage the ordering scope for new build infrastructure and expansion/retrofit projects within our Operations Global Engineering Maintenance Sustainability (GEMS) Organization. This individual will provide project management support in a fast-paced and highly ambiguous environment, managing multiple initiatives and projects simultaneously while working quickly to deliver results.This is an office-based role requiring regular presence at a corporate location, with up to 5% nationwide travel as needed. Candidates should either live near or be willing to relocate within a reasonable commuting distance of the office. Relocation assistance may be provided.
Key job responsibilities
• Manage ordering workflow for assigned projects including risk mitigation, escalations, and accountability while reporting on status and immediately escalating issues as necessary
• Partner with program managers and business leaders to secure resources, scope efforts, set project priorities and milestones, drive delivery, and impact critical business initiatives
• Own program communication, accelerating progress by driving crisp and timely decisions, clearing blockers, and presenting project status and recommendations to senior leadership
• Anticipate program changes and work with stakeholders to understand associated impacts
• Conduct data analysis to identify issues and implement significant process improvement projects that streamline workflows and create efficiencies within the team and larger business functions
• Process and upload detailed procurement requirements into purchasing systems to generate and manage purchase order requisitions
• Monitor and resolve customer tickets through established queue system while maintaining service level agreements (SLAs) and providing support via email, video conferencing, and other mechanisms
• Create, update and maintain comprehensive training documentation and standard operating procedures
• Analyze data and prepare regular reports on procurement metrics and operational performance
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and internal program teams to optimize procurement processes and workflows
• Maintain accurate records and documentation in multiple database systems
• Thrive both independently and collaboratively, demonstrating exceptional ability to navigate ambiguous environments while consistently maintaining high performance standards and delivering results

Qualifications
- 2+ years of program or project management experience- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Knowledge of Excel at an intermediate level (e.g., pivot tables & charts, multiple criteria lookups, nested logical/IF formulas, data cleansing, array formulas, etc.)
- Experience in a highly analytical, results-oriented environment with cross functional interactions
Extended Qualifications
- Knowledge of Lean principles and DMAIC methodology- Bachelor's degree in supply chain, business, engineering, finance or related technical or quantitative field

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
