Play a key role in operational improvement within Amazon Web Services, where we have a history and tradition of innovative technologies and services. As part of the Global Network Delivery team, you will have the opportunity to join a team that partners across the global AWS Infrastructure organization to shape the future of the AWS profile and tempo to which we deliver.

The Global Network Delivery Sourcing team is seeking a highly-skilled & driven Program Manager who will help drive the team toward our mission of building durable and reliable data-informed processes within AWS Infrastructure. The ideal candidate has experience managing global Infrastructure projects/programs; developing, monitoring, and reporting project/program health metrics; depth of knowledge in supply chain; experience with external suppliers; and driving improvement. As a Program Manager within this team focused on fiber cable sourcing, you will be responsible for organizing and managing continuous improvement and process initiatives and play a significant role in developing, driving and managing scalable, data-driven processes.

Key job responsibilities

- The primary responsibilities from the Program Manager include, but are not limited to, the following: - Lead planning, execution, and delivery tasks of multiple project/programs simultaneously.

- Determine process health metrics and key performance indicators and develop data visualization reports illustrating process health.

- Identify process improvement opportunities and gather user requirements with key customers.

- Develop and implement scalable, data-driven process improvement/automated solutions.

- Develop standard operating procedures, change/communication plans, and project/program-level status updates.

- Drive adoption with internal customers through effective change management.

- Anticipate potential issues and risks, and escalate appropriately and in a timely manner.

- Remain flexible to changing priorities and open to new ideas.

- Keep the customer experience as the primary focus.

A day in the life

As a program manager, you work closely with key stakeholders across various partner organizations, external manufacturers, and your team to develop and implement strategic initiatives and solutions. You will participate in the design, implementation, and deployment of successful large-scale programs and initiatives. You will define metrics and create success criteria allowing data to drive key business decisions and process improvements. You will participate in the definition of secure, scalable, and reliable solutions. You define mechanisms that help your team deliver results for customers and raise the operational bar.

Qualifications

- 3+ years of program or project management experience

- 3+ years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics experience

- Knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) at an advanced level and SQL

- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements

- Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams



Extended Qualifications

- 3+ years of driving end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership experience

- Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization

- 3+ years of supply chain experience

- 3+ years of working with external suppliers experience

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
