Description
Amazon's Legal Department is looking for a talented and motivated Program Manager to support Amazon Web Services (AWS). AWS is at the forefront of the cloud computing and service industry, providing IT infrastructure services such as on-demand compute capacity, storage, content delivery, database services, browsers and more. The successful candidate will join the AWS Sales and Marketing Legal team and work closely with legal team members and cross-functional business partners to manage and run projects of varying complexity and size.The successful candidate will use their program management superpowers to support the legal team by leading AI adoption initiatives and driving the integration of AI tools and workflows that enhance legal operations efficiency. This role will develop deep subject matter expertise on both Amazon AI services (including Amazon Quick Suite, Amazon Bedrock, and other AWS AI/ML offerings) and third-party AI solutions, evaluating their capabilities and appropriate use cases for legal applications.
The candidate will program manage cross-functional AI implementation projects, develop and maintain comprehensive adoption metrics and reporting frameworks, and create training programs to accelerate team proficiency with AI tools. Serving as the primary liaison between the legal team and AI product teams, the candidate will translate legal requirements into technical specifications while ensuring solutions meet compliance and security standards. The candidate will have the ability to see the big picture and incorporate problem solving, strategic thinking, and tactical execution with a focus on taking ownership of improving the team's systems and processes through emerging AI technologies.

Key job responsibilities
- Lead the strategic planning and execution of AI adoption initiatives across the AWS Products Legal team, identifying opportunities to integrate AI tools and workflows that enhance legal operations efficiency
- Develop deep subject matter expertise on Amazon AI services (including Amazon Quick Suite, Amazon Bedrock, and other AWS AI/ML offerings) and third-party AI solutions, evaluating capabilities, limitations, and appropriate use cases for legal applications
- Program manage cross-functional projects to implement AI solutions, including stakeholder alignment, timeline management, resource coordination, and risk mitigation
- Develop and maintain comprehensive adoption metrics and reporting frameworks to track AI tool usage, measure impact, and demonstrate ROI to leadership
- Partner with legal counsel, operations teams, and technology stakeholders to identify pain points, prioritize AI use cases, and drive change management efforts
- Create and deliver training programs, documentation, and best practices to accelerate team proficiency with AI tools and ensure consistent adoption across the organization
- Serve as the primary liaison between the legal team and AI product teams, translating legal requirements into technical specifications and ensuring solutions meet compliance and security standards
- Stay current on emerging AI technologies and industry trends, providing strategic recommendations on new tools and capabilities that could benefit the legal team
A day in the life
You will collaborate directly with the AWS Products Legal team to understand their workflow challenges and identify opportunities where AI tools can enhance efficiency. You'll work hands-on with Amazon AI services (like Amazon Quick Suite, Amazon Bedrock, and other AWS AI/ML offerings), Amazon's Legal Technology and AI product teams, and third-party AI platforms, facilitating training sessions and providing ongoing support to accelerate team proficiency.
You will program manage multiple AI implementation projects through meetings, email, and instant messaging, ensuring all stakeholders are informed on deliverables, timelines, and progress. You'll review adoption metrics and dashboards to track impact, participate in cross-functional meetings with AI product teams to translate legal requirements into technical specifications, and use your writing skills to share project updates and documentation. This role requires flexibility to work with colleagues across different time zones and the ability to balance strategic thinking with tactical execution as you drive measurable AI adoption across the team.

Qualifications
- 3+ years of program or project management experience- 3+ years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics experience
- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
- Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams
Extended Qualifications
- 3+ years of driving end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership experience- 3+ years of driving process improvements experience
- Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization
- Experience building processes, project management, and schedules

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
