Description

At Amazon, we hire the world's brightest people and offer them an environment where they can relentlessly innovate for our customers. Do you enjoy a high-stakes, fast-paced environment where you can help accelerate our customers achieving their strategic objectives by working with our AWS senior executives?

The AWS Executive Sponsorships Program team is seeking an exceptionally motivated, customer-obsessed Program Manager with experience developing and executing programs. The AWS Executive Sponsorships Program demonstrates AWS commitment to our most strategic customers by pairing them with AWS leaders in a 1:1 peer-to-peer relationship with the goal of driving the customer’s success and cloud adoption. The program helps create and cultivate these long-term relationships to drive collaboration opportunities to think big together, enhance our customers’ ability to achieve their business objectives and innovations with AWS, and cultivate overall trust and advocacy within both AWS and the customer’s organizations. We are looking for an expert Program Manager to continuously improve our program reporting; executive engagement tracking; and sponsor onboarding, matching, and training so we can continue to scale the program to benefit our customers.

Key job responsibilities

• Find, create, and analyze data and generate insights about the Executive Sponsorships Program that will inform business decisions and program evolution and most importantly elevate the value we bring to customers.

• Drive reporting, process, and improvements that reduce friction and proactively address issues. Leverage tools to advance efficiencies, standardize workflows, and to reduce the manual processes for data collection.

• Identify and qualify the right strategic customers to include into the program, support Account Teams.

• Follow up to ensure the customer/Executive Sponsors match are meeting customer and program expectations.

• Constantly solicit feedback from our stakeholders (i.e., account teams, sponsors) throughout the lifecycle of the relationship in friction-free ways.

• Proven record of accomplishment in taking on end-to-end ambiguous problems, and successfully delivering results in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

• Enjoy experimenting on ideas, measuring the results, improving on what works, discarding what doesn't, and learning from both.

• Have a solid understanding of project management fundamentals (e.g., business case development, risk management, schedule management, and negotiation). You are comfortable briefing senior leadership, even when you have bad news; you can communicate effectively with business and technical teams both verbally and in writing.

• You will be well suited to this role if you excel in managing a variety of job responsibilities, are customer-focused, resourceful, team-oriented, and have an ability to work independently under time constraints.

A day in the life

As an AWS Executive Sponsorships Program Manager, you will be communicating across account, product, and executive teams to identify and match executive relationships that will drive long term value for our customers and AWS. You are the primary escalation point for account managers to provide them with advice on determining program fit, qualifying requests, and handling any exceptions.

You will drive data collection, analysis, insight tracking, and reporting to ensure our program is meeting our goals and provide recommendations for continuous improvement and scalability. You will support the team by writing and delivering clear, detailed executive communications, develop mechanisms to ensure our team are leveraging lessons learned and applying best practices in complex situations, and serve as an authority to account managers and executives on how to best take advantage of the program.
