Description

Amazon is seeking an intuitive, high-judgment, self-motivated, and creative professional to join AMZL Learning and Development (L&D) Governance Excellence.

As a Sr. Program Manager you'll foster synergistic cross-functional partnership between Operational Excellence and Change Management with acute attention to detail. From creating employee and leader-facing training recommendations about critical policies, standards, and network changes, you will be a key partner to project teams and executives within the the Last Mile business line.

You will evaluate training-related change implementation, ensuring alignment with Top 20 organizational goals against Manager Training Gas Tank (MTGT) to lessen cognitive load.

The ideal candidate is vital in gatekeeping approved versus denied training curriculum, maintaining stringent quality standards, meticulously managing portfolio systems, optimizing resource allocation and driving process improvement through project prioritization, strategic vision, and analytical skills.

Key job responsibilities

- Develop and implement strategies to maximize the return on investment (ROI) for training programs.

- Evaluate and recommend appropriate training modalities (e.g., instructor-led, online, blended learning) based on learner needs, content complexity, and organizational goals.

- Collaborate with subject matter experts and instructional designers to develop effective training delivery methods.

- Forecast and plan for future training needs based on organizational growth, skill gaps, and strategic objectives.

- Develop and implement processes to monitor and report on training capacity utilization and effectiveness.

- Establish and maintain a governance framework for training program lifecycle management.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to align training initiatives with organizational needs.

- Conduct regular portfolio reviews and make recommendations for additions, modifications, or retirements of training programs.

A day in the life

- Act as a strategic advisor to program managers and field operators, providing guidance on developing and executing effective training plans for network-level initiatives such as program expansion, or process changes.

- Develop and maintain training schedules, ensuring timely and proactive dissemination of curriculum to stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

- 5+ years of program or project management experience

- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements

- Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership

- Knowledge of Excel at an intermediate level (e.g., pivot tables & charts, multiple criteria lookups, nested logical/IF formulas, data cleansing, array formulas, etc.)

- Bachelor's degree

- Experience working cross functionally with non-tech teams



Extended Qualifications

- 2+ years of driving process improvements experience

- Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $104,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
