Description
The StoreGen Principal Program Manager leads Amazon's transformation toward AI-driven software development practices by orchestrating experimentation strategies across internal teams and third-party AI partnerships. This role is central to achieving our goal to drive step changes in software developer efficiency through AI-native development practices. The Principal Program Manager will drive the evolution toward AI-native development practices across Amazon teams, developing and executing experimentation strategies that validate AI-native approaches through closed alpha, closed beta, and limited release phases. They will create scalable processes to identify, evaluate, and integrate emerging AI technologies and tools.A key aspect of this role is building and maintaining relationships with internal teams and external AI partners. The Program Manager will coordinate with AWS, third-party AI providers, and internal teams to identify and leverage new AI capabilities, driving adoption of AI tools and practices across development teams. Creating feedback loops between technical teams and stakeholders to continuously improve AI implementation is crucial, as is overseeing operational processes including metrics tracking, business reviews, and business health reporting. The role also involves driving the development of AI-native documentation and training materials. Driving strategic product communication to stakeholders at all levels is an essential part of the role.
Success in this position requires excellence in stakeholder management and cross-team collaboration with a track record of delivering complex, multi-team initiatives. This role will be instrumental in reshaping how Amazon develops software and achieves unprecedented development efficiency through AI-native practices.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams experience- 7+ years of program or project management experience
- 7+ years of managing, analyzing and communicating results to senior leadership experience
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience implementing repeatable processes and driving automation or standardization
- Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $124,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $206,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
