Amazon's Social Responsibility program drives customer trust, business continuity, and sustainable social impact by embedding respect for human rights and the environment throughout Amazon’s entire value chain. We implement company-wide standards and commitments such as our Global Human Rights Principles (GHRP) and Supply Chain Standards (SCS). We seek to continuously improve the tools and processes used in integrating human rights and environmental due diligence across the business.
The Program Manager, Business Strategy and Integration, builds and executes programs that help businesses understand their roles and responsibilities in upholding labor and human rights. They will ensure businesses have the appropriate materials, tools and information to integrate human rights due diligence into their business operations. The ideal candidate will insist on the highest standards, dive deep into details, have a strong sense of ownership. They’ll quickly get up to speed on complex issues, anticipate stakeholder questions/reactions, and prepare thorough messaging and engagement strategies.
Key job responsibilities
- Manage the development and execution of specific programs and services for the Human Rights & Social Impact team and business teams, outlining key roles and responsibilities, driving accountability and delivering results.
- Develop and implement a communications and engagement strategy focused on driving adoption of human rights programs across Amazon businesses
- Proactively work with cross functional internal teams (e.g., sourcing teams, business program leaders, legal) to evolve human rights programs and drive process efficiency and effectiveness.
- Partner with business teams and human rights subject matter experts to identify and fill knowledge and process gaps
- Identify improvements to streamline and/or eliminate excess processes or controls and drive program efficiencies.
About the team
This role will sit on the Business Strategy and Integration team within the broader Human Rights & Social Impact team at Amazon. The team provides tactical and strategic support for businesses across Amazon on developing human rights strategies.
Qualifications
- 4+ years of program or project management experience- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- A track record of effectively facilitating cross-departmental collaboration to align on goals and achieve objectives
- Excellent writing skills, with the ability to formulate a concise and well written narrative on of complicated issues
- Ability to identify customer needs and invent new and efficient ways to meet those need
- Ability to identify and solve ambiguous problems
Extended Qualifications
- Expertise in regional and international labor standards and auditing (e.g., UNGPs on Human Rights, ILO Conventions, Social and Labor Convergence Project, BSCI, SMETA, EcoVadis, etc.)- Experience in project or program management as it relates to human rights risk management systems
- Experience in change management or issues management

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $66,800/year in our lowest geographic market up to $142,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
