Our program ensures that Customers can buy with confidence on Amazon by qualifying Sellers to sell certain products before listing. As a Program Manager, you will work with business owners, product managers, and developer teams to define process improvements, program strategy, and manage project timelines. This position involves regular communication with internal teams and responsibilities over roadmaps, program updates, risks, and change management. Cross-team coordination, program management, and excellent communication skills are essential.Key job responsibilities
A Program Manager II in the Seller Qualification team owns:
- All permissions, processes, and internal tools that enable business teams to launch bespoke qualification experiences for Sellers
- Intake mechanisms and triaging for net new types of experiences, interfacing with a diverse group of requestors
- The end Seller experience for these experiences, including the processes to safeguard the experience across all requestors
A day in the life
A typical day in the life of a Seller Qualification Program Manager II starts by leading office hours, where requestors will bring our team new, exciting opportunities to qualify sellers to list products with restrictions. You will triage the intake, in partnership with Product Managers and Software Development Engineers, and define the best course of action.
From there, you'll review our intake queue for new requests for permission to use our tools, review seller-facing workflows and content to assess whether they meet our bar. You will communicate any proposed changes or approve
Finally, you'll update a process that was a recent topic of several office hours appointments, addressing the issue, getting feedback from stakeholders, and rolling it out with a launch announcement.
Every day on SQ will be different and you get to decide what's most important that day to ensure our partners can create seller facing experiences to ultimately ensure a safe buying experience for customers.
About the team
Seller Qualification's vision is to create the perfect qualification experience for Sellers, so they can continue to grow Amazon stores into Earth’s largest selection of safe, authentic, and compliant products that Buyers want. We are a team of Product and Program Managers that drive this vision by providing efficient mechanisms to qualify Sellers based on specific criteria. While we place controls to protect the Buyer and Brand experience, our objective is to do so with the least amount of Seller friction possible and we partner with tech, science, and policy teams to do this.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of program or project management experience- 3+ years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics experience
- Knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) at an advanced level and SQL
- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
- Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams
Extended Qualifications
- 3+ years of driving end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership experience- 3+ years of driving process improvements experience
- Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization
- Experience building processes, project management, and schedules

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $66,800/year in our lowest geographic market up to $142,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
