Description

Join our Produce organization to drive strategic programs that optimize our produce business from end to end. In this role, you will tackle challenging problems related to product quality, sourceability, seasonal product lifecycles, and emerging retail technologies that enhance both distribution and store-level operations. You will leverage your data analysis capabilities to identify trends, develop strategic solutions, and collaborate across functional boundaries to deliver measurable improvements.

Key job responsibilities

- Manage and prioritize complex, cross-functional program lifecycles within the Produce business

- Define new programs with clear scope and objectives, analyze business and operations data to identify trends, and implement improvements quantified by specific metrics.

- Lead weekly and monthly meetings with cross-functional stakeholders, ensuring effective collaboration across merchandising, operations, technology, and store teams.

- Apply relevant tools, including Excel and SQL, to track program progress and measure effectiveness against defined goals and timelines.

- Develop strategic documents and presentations that clearly communicate program status, results, and recommended changes in strategy to stakeholders at various levels.

A day in the life

Your day begins by reviewing key performance metrics related to your produce programs, identifying any concerning trends that require immediate attention. You'll lead cross-functional meetings where you'll guide discussions on program performance, collect stakeholder input, and align on next steps. Throughout the day, you'll analyze business and operations data using Excel and SQL, looking for patterns and insights to drive program improvements. You'll document your findings and recommendations in well-structured presentations or documents that articulate the business impact and strategic direction for leadership review.

About the team

Our program management team within the Produce organization is dedicated to optimizing the end-to-end produce business through data-driven strategies and cross-functional collaboration. We work at the intersection of merchandising, operations, and technology to enhance the quality, availability, and presentation of fresh produce for our customers.

The team focuses on implementing innovative solutions to complex challenges in the grocery space, with particular emphasis on reducing waste, improving quality, and enhancing operational efficiency. We partner closely with merchandising systems experts, store operations teams, and technology groups to develop and execute programs that drive meaningful business outcomes while improving the customer experience.



Qualifications

- 2+ years of program or project management experience

- 2+ years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics experience

- Knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) at an advanced level and SQL

- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements

- Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams



Extended Qualifications

- 3+ years of driving end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership experience

- 3+ years of driving process improvements experience

- Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization

- Experience building processes, project management, and schedules

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $66,800/year in our lowest geographic market up to $142,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
