Description
The OSS-Buying team within Supply Chain Optimization Technologies (SCOT) seeks a Program Manager to drive operational excellence in our Access to Supply initiative. OSS-Buying manages what to buy, when to buy, where to place inventory, and purchase quantities across Amazon's global fulfillment network. We manage millions of items representing billions in worldwide inventory, using advanced systems to optimize the supply chain.We are looking for a Program Manager who can own operational aspects of our Access to Supply metrics, focusing specifically on vendor confirmation rates. In this role, you'll lead multiple cross-functional forums, manage performance tracking across our complex network, and work directly with retail teams to establish and achieve supply access goals.
Key job responsibilities
- Own and lead multiple operational forums, including weekly business reviews with stakeholders from retail, operations, and product teams
- Create and deliver data-driven analyses on supply metrics, identifying performance trends and opportunities for improvement
- Develop relationships with retail partners to align on confirmation rate goals and monitor progress
- Track performance across our regional network structure and provide insights on how network changes impact supply access
- Collaborate with product teams to implement improvements that enhance vendor confirmation rates
- Drive operational excellence by implementing standardized reporting processes and identifying automation opportunities
- Present weekly, monthly, and quarterly performance updates to leadership
A day in the life
You'll start your day by reviewing the latest confirmation rate data and preparing materials for one of the several weekly forums you lead. You'll collaborate with retail partners on supply challenges, work with program teams on process improvements, and coordinate with the product management teams on strategic technical priorities. Throughout the day, you'll engage with teams across SCOT, retail, and operations to drive action plans that improve supply access metrics.
About the team
The Access to Supply team within OSS-Buying focuses on ensuring Amazon can procure inventory efficiently to maintain optimal in-stock levels across our marketplaces. Our work directly impacts customer experience through improved in-stock rates and faster delivery promises.We make sure Amazon's inventory needs are met on time and in the most efficient way.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of program or project management experience- 3+ years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics experience
- Knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) at an advanced level and SQL
- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
- Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams
Extended Qualifications
- 3+ years of driving end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership experience- 3+ years of driving process improvements experience
- Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization
- Experience building processes, project management, and schedules

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $66,800/year in our lowest geographic market up to $142,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
