Description

Amazon One Medical is hiring a patient safety program coordinator for the Patient Safety Department. This position will provide administrative assistance to the Amazon One Medical’s Patient Safety Team. The primary purpose of this position is to ensure all the administrative tasks related to the Patient Safety Program are completed, provide assistance to operational and clinical leaders regarding patient safety events (non-clinical), data collection, trending, reporting and analyzing the safety events to identify trends and opportunities to present to the leadership.

You are highly-motivated and detail oriented. You have strong communication skills and data analyzing skills. You have passion for drafting, organizing, researching to develop patient safety educational resources for the internal stakeholders. You are a highly organized, curious individual. In partnership with the leadership, you will research and update the materials and processes based on evolving or new standards. You have good project management skills.

Key job responsibilities

Responsible for managing and updating resources and materials for Patient Safety related Topics (Including but not limited to digital resource creation, google forms and sheets.)

Administrative activities such as data gathering and reporting of the patient safety events and plans

Responsible for tracking, reporting and providing necessary information according to the PSO’s (patient safety organization) requirements

Assist Patient Safety Leadership to develop Performance improvement plans.

Monitor, screen and escalate critical safety events to the Manager as necessary

Respond to the submitter in a timely and professional manner

Run reports (internal as well as external PSO) as needed

Maintain and relay current information to appropriate departments and management

Point of contact for the Patient Safety Organization (ECRI) to implement One Medical’s patient safety reporting system



Qualifications

3+ year Program Management experience

1+ year of work experience in acute care setting or ambulatory care setting

2+ years of work experience performing administrative tasks.

Possess and maintain proficiency in computer software skills to include Word, Outlook, Power point, Excel and ability to learn additional software as needed

Advance knowledge of medical terminology

Familiarity with 1Life and patient charts



Extended Qualifications

Prior experience supporting Patient Safety or Quality Improvement programs

Clinical background - e.g. Lab service specialist, Medical Assistant, pharm tech

Project management experience highly desirable along with experience creating impactful digital resources and training and education development

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $77,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $127,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
