Product Marketing is responsible for developing crisp, highly differentiated, and compelling positioning and messaging for AWS and its services. We tell AWS’s most important and interesting stories to educate customers about what is possible when you build, operate, manage, and optimize on AWS.

AWS Cloud Operations is the foundation for customers to operate, govern, and cost optimize their AWS, hybrid, and multicloud environments, reducing IT complexity and improving efficiency. As Product Marketing Manager for AWS Cloud Operations on AWS, you will have the opportunity to drive product marketing for innovative monitoring & observability capabilities, such as generative AI, that help customers make their operations more agile, secure, and efficient, and speed up resolution of operational issues.

You will work with product and engineering teams to define and prioritize messaging. You will own creation of content that drives awareness, preference, and adoption of AWS, and scale our messaging through key channels including the website, events, and more. You will partner cross-functionally with GTM, sales, training, and other counterparts to build the right marketing programs to drive customer engagement and service adoption. And you will own and drive the value propositions for operating on AWS that meet key customer use cases and convey AWS’s unique value. This is a rapidly growing business that offers you the opportunity to have a big impact every day and to work with senior AWS leaders on marketing strategy.

The ideal candidate has a passion for technology services and how they can be used to drive business outcomes in an enterprise IT environment, the ability to transform complex technical concepts into easy-to-understand messaging and materials, and experience building and improving scalable mechanisms. Must-haves for this role are a proven track record of excelling in a data-driven organization and the ability to work directly with senior executives as well as get hands-on with cross-functional teams.

This role can sit in either Seattle, WA or Santa Clara, CA only. Relocation offered to these locations only from within the USA only.

Key job responsibilities

• Drive product marketing for AWS Monitoring & Observability (AMO) solution, part of the AWS Cloud Operations portfolio

• Own the gathering of customer insight, and the development of messaging & positioning, use cases, value propositions, marketing content, and marketing programs for AMO

• Lead without direct authority with internal stakeholders: Influence product and engineering teams to shape the product vision and prioritize features, and GTM/sales teams to land key messages and content

• Partner effectively across AWS with groups such as engineering, digital marketing, sales, business development, public relations, analyst relations, partner marketing, and evangelists to drive marketing for the AMO business

• Collaborate effectively within Cloud Operations product marketing team to drive success of the portfolio

• Craft and execute campaigns and leverage owned, earned, and paid channels to reach our customers and help grow their understanding and usage of AWS

• Test and refine new marketing approaches and bold and creative ideas

Qualifications

- 4+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience

- Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements

- Experience with Excel or Tableau (data manipulation, macros, charts and pivot tables)

- Experience building, executing and scaling cross-functional programs or marketing campaigns from concept to completion

- Experience managing and measuring marketing performance in various channels



Extended Qualifications

- Experience managing external partners to develop marketing programs

- Experience presenting ideas to various levels of an organization to gain support for initiatives

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $98,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $179,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
