Description
Are you passionate about showcasing how Amazon's store enables Selling Partners to build thriving businesses? We're seeking an experienced Senior Product Manager to lead strategy and execution of initiatives that align public perception with the reality of seller success on Amazon.What You'll Do:
Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy to demonstrate Amazon's value to Selling Partners through data-driven storytelling and strategic communications
Partner with Public Policy, Public Relations, Finance, and Creative teams to design coordinated initiatives that highlight seller growth, cost savings, and business outcomes
Create mechanisms and frameworks to measure and improve how key stakeholders—including policymakers, media, and opinion leaders—understand the seller experience
Drive cross-functional workstreams that translate seller success metrics (such as sales growth, cost reduction, and quality improvements) into compelling narrativesThis role will have a high degree of ownership, driving external marquee annual reports that drive thought leadership and tell the story of how Amazon supports our Selling Partners. The ideal candidate thinks strategically, takes initiative and, is highly detail oriented. They can develop and drive high-level strategic initiatives but also roll up their sleeves, dig in and get the job done. Maturity, strong business judgment, ability to earn trust and influence cross-functional teams, a customer-centric and creative mindset and strong analytical skills are essential. The candidate for this position also embraces ambiguity, ramps quickly on complex issues, and is skilled at communicating complex issues simply and convincingly to a wide range of internal and external audiences.
Key job responsibilities
Data-Driven Storytelling:
Partner with Finance, Economics, and Business Intelligence teams to identify, analyze, and synthesize seller performance data (e.g., sales growth, cost savings, quality improvements) into evidence-based narratives that resonate with policymakers, media, and opinion leaders
Build and maintain a centralized data repository with automated refresh mechanisms to ensure real-time access to seller success metrics for internal and external communications
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Establish and nurture strategic partnerships with Public Policy, Public Relations, Creative, and business teams across Amazon to align on messaging priorities and coordinate workstreams
Anticipate project dependencies and resource constraints; proactively resolve bottlenecks through clear trade-off decisions and stakeholder alignment
Customer-Centric Program Management:
Conduct stakeholder research (internal teams and external audiences) to understand perception gaps and information needs; translate insights into actionable project plans with clear timelines and success criteria
Execute projects in fast-paced environments while maintaining high quality standards and meeting tight deadlines
Long-Term Strategic Ownership:
Take ownership of the multi-year strategy for seller impact data and messaging, including narrative evolution, measurement frameworks, and continuous improvement
Prepare and deliver strategic recommendations to VP-level audiences, demonstrating how perception initiatives drive business value
Strategic Leadership & Execution:
Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for program effectiveness, including stakeholder reach, perception shifts, and media engagement metrics; deliver quarterly performance reviews to senior leadership

Seller External Relations’ (SER) vision is that global opinion elites (OEs) agree that Amazon is an amazing place for independent sellers (sellers), especially domestic small businesses, to build and grow the business of their dreams, and that communities (both geographic and demographic) are better off with more sellers selling in Amazon’s store. We achieve this vision by driving a proactive communications and engagement strategy that establishes an accurate and positive narrative tailored to global OEs and the populations of sellers, SBs, and inclusive consumers that they care about.
We are a very cross functional organization representing the full spectrum of skillsets from research and data to creative and marketing.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology experience- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
- Experience with end to end product delivery
- Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
- Experience as a product manager or owner
Extended Qualifications
- Experience in influencing senior leadership through data driven insights- Experience working across functional teams and senior stakeholders
- Experience with data analysis
- Experience synthesizing data and research to create compelling narratives, business insights, and key storylines
- Experience working with PR and Public Policy

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
