Description

Come help us define and build solutions that protect Amazon’s must customer-centric experiences! The Endpoint Security builds security solutions that enable Customer Service Associates around the globe to solve customer problems. In this role, you must consider what risks our customers face today, how an evolving landscape will change risks, and how we will eliminate those risks. You will think about every level of the technical stack, from the lowest level of code that exists on devices up to how we secure billions of records in the AWS cloud.

In this role, you will define our “future of…” strategies and work with engineering teams to deliver that future state. You will be the voice of the customer, and will advocate for their needs throughout the design, build, and implementation of our team’s products. You will be responsible for measuring customer experience and business impact, prioritizing our work, innovating every day to secure every customer experience.

Key job responsibilities

As a Sr. Product Manager, Technical on our team, you will define the problems our customers face, determine how to solve them, and prioritize solution delivery. You will partner with multiple engineering teams and stakeholders across Amazon Security and Customer Service to drive cross-functional alignment and balance security requirements with operational efficiency. You will measure customer experience, prioritize product roadmaps, and translate complex requirements into deliverable product specifications and user stories.

You will conduct customer research and data analysis to validate problem statements, define success criteria and metrics for each initiative, and lead technical design reviews with engineering teams. Running agile ceremonies including sprint planning and retrospectives, you will coordinate dependencies across teams and present product strategy and progress to senior leadership.

A day in the life

You will partner with Customer Service technology and operations teams to solve customer problems. On our team, you will collaborate with Software Development Managers, software engineers, data engineers and scientists, and other product and program managers. You will ensure that Customer Service Associates can quickly resolve customer contacts, and that the business can innovate and evolve to meet changing needs.

About the team

We are a team dispersed across multiple locations, primarily in Seattle, Toronto, and Austin. As a security team responsible for products used daily by Customer Service, we balance security with usability while recognizing that the most secure products can also be the most usable. Given the complex nature of Customer Service operations, we invest in solutions that allow us to flex and pivot quickly to meet an ever-changing business and security landscape.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree

- Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product

- Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product

- Experience managing technical products or online services

- Experience in representing and advocating for a variety of critical customers and stakeholders during executive-level prioritization and planning



Extended Qualifications

- Experience in using analytical tools, such as Tableau, Qlikview, QuickSight

- Experience in building and driving adoption of new tools

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $136,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $235,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
