The Kindle Devices team is seeking a customer-obsessed Sales & Marketing leader to own and drive strategies that deliver Kindle category growth. You will be the business owner for multiple Kindle products, including CA/MX portfolio sales and US programs/experimentation. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams including product development, engagement, demand planning, in-stock, offline retail, finance, merchandising, and advertising to develop and execute a multi-year plan to grow the Kindle business. In this role you will have an opportunity to work on a global scale through a broad array of challenges: helping customers discover our latest devices and accessories; driving the launch of new programs; developing channel-specific sales strategies; testing and implementing new demand generation levers; driving product sales; building new playbooks; and enhancing customer reading engagement and satisfaction. This is a high visibility role that will work on a broad array of business challenges and have frequent opportunities to interact with and present to senior leadership.

Key job responsibilities

- Lead CA/MX sales and marketing for a set of Kindle products, spanning the end-to-end product life cycle.

- Drive demand generation; run and develop new initiatives and programs for selling Kindle devices across North America.

- Define and deliver a best-in-class marketing program, write business requirements, and partner with the merchandising team on implementation.

- Conduct business and financial analysis; be fluent in speaking to and analyzing profit and loss statement drivers, including forecasting, monitoring, and reporting.

- Serve as a key influencer in developing and auditing business strategy, contributing significantly to business operations, customer engagement and analytics, and financial planning.

- Support business and financial planning by developing, standardizing, and maintaining business critical metrics (input and output) analysis and reporting.

- Lead cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time.

- Role is global in nature will work with teams in other markets.



Qualifications

- 5+ years of product management experience

- Experience building and analyzing cost/benefit scenarios and business cases and communicating results throughout the organization

- Experience in product, program, or project management in leading cross-functional teams in delivery of major new products or services

- Bachelor's Degree



Extended Qualifications

- Experience performing financial or other quantitative analyses

- Knowledge of Microsoft Excel (macros, pivots, lookups) at an advanced level

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; general manager/owner mentality with strong bias for action

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $104,700/year in our lowest geographic market up to $179,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
