Description

The Amazon Fresh In-Store Product team is looking for a Product Manager for Associate Tools. This role will own a core set of tools for which they own developing vision and collaborating with partners to drive the implementation. Our team serves as the voice of the associate as we advocate for a bar-raising CX through improved product experiences and streamlined tooling.A successful candidate thinks big by defining the long-term vision for their space, dives deep to understand associate pain-points and delivers results by building and executing against a roadmap of features in partnership with Tech, Program and Operations Teams.
The PM will confidentially manage through evolving and complex demands, build scalable solutions and innovate on behalf of our customers. This person must be able to thrive and succeed in an entrepreneurial environment, and not be hindered by ambiguity or competing priorities. High judgment, ability to influence, exceptional organization and communication skills, and leadership are essential to success in this role. This role requires clear articulation of complex problems and proposed solutions. The PM will lead discussions with category, in stock partners, field leadership, and process owners to drive decisions on operational strategies that impact the business. Your role will be highly collaborative, requiring you to partner with cross-functional partners to drive positive results to business metrics.
The ideal candidate is a self-starter and is comfortable conceptualizing and leading complex initiatives from end to end. They should have experience in grocery operations, workflow-based tools, and large-scale process implementation. They should be comfortable directing field retail teams and collaborating with engineering teams.
Key job responsibilities
- Drive improvements in both processes and technology to help us build best in-class perimeter grocery operations.
- Drive thought leadership on ways to automate and simplify existing processes used across the Amazon Fresh Stores network, balance the business need versus technical/operational constraints.
- Create scalable programs and processes that can be implemented, consistently executed, and measured.
- Implement and drive new operational initiatives in an ambiguous environment using data, industry standards, high level of judgment, and anecdotal customer feedback to develop solutions that continually improve operational metrics.
A day in the life
- Review your product development roadmap with tech partners to identify progress, risks and blockers
- Document requirements for new product functionalities planned with operations partners
- Analyze business and product data to expose pain-points that need product solutions
- Visit AFS stores to learn from associates while interacting with your tool within the store environment

The Associate Tools product team is committed to empowering all associates at Amazon Fresh Stores with the tools they need to ensure our store operations are running faster, costing less, and performing better. By developing technology solutions for them, we are enabling our associates to become a decisive differentiator for our stores that wows our customers every time they experience Amazon Fresh.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of product management experience- Experience managing technical products or online services
- Experience in product, program, or project management in leading cross-functional teams in delivery of major new products or services
- Experience in Retail experience, ideally within grocery store operations, developing products or processes for employees
Extended Qualifications
- Knowledge of SQL and VBA at an advanced level- Experience building and analyzing cost/benefit scenarios and business cases and communicating results throughout the organization

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $104,700/year in our lowest geographic market up to $179,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
