Description

Project Kuiper is an initiative to increase global broadband access through a constellation of 3,236 satellites in low Earth orbit (LEO). Its mission is to bring fast, affordable broadband to unserved and underserved communities around the world. Project Kuiper will help close the digital divide by delivering fast, affordable broadband to a wide range of customers, including consumers, businesses, government agencies, and other organizations operating in places without reliable connectivity

Key job responsibilities

In this role on the Global Demand Team you will lead the development of the global demand forecast. You will be responsible for working with business stakeholders across regions and customer verticals to collect requirements and deliver them back to the demand science and analytics team to execute against. You will lead integration with finance systems, capacity simulations, and CT build forecasts. You will work with stakeholders continually refine the model, increase fidelity, and minimize variance to actuals.

This role requires the ability to work in a collaborative, analytical, and fast-paced environment and must be comfortable interacting with highly technical cross-functional teams. The candidate must have strong business judgment, dive deep into data, have strong writing skills and be comfortable leading executive-level reviews. Candidates must be able to analyze and implement subscription lifecycle models with appropriate KPIs for different customer segments.

Qualifications

- 7+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology experience

- Experience owning feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product

- Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product

- Proficiency with SQL



Extended Qualifications

- Experience interpreting and communicating analytics

- Experience managing data analytics, business intelligence, and/or data science-based models

- Experience with financial models and/or demand forecasting

- Proficiency with scripting languages (e.g. Python) or statistical/mathematical software (e.g. R, SAS, Matlab, etc.)

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $161,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $279,900/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
