The Central Reliability and Maintenance Engineering, Decision Science and Technology (DST) team owns the design, deployment, and maintenance of an Artificial Intelligence/Computer Vision solution capable of automatically detecting defects in packages and taking action to ensure packages make it to customers in time. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sr. Product Manager to join our team.

We are looking for a candidate with a strong record of owning strategic, cross-functional products. This candidate will play a pivotal role in the strategic development and implementation of RME’s Artificial Intelligence initiatives. You will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to enhance condition-based monitoring, reduce the likelihood of jams, and improve the process workflow. You’ll plan, coordinate, and monitor, the expansion of the program in North America and Europe. This role requires strong end-to-end project management skills; comfort navigating ambiguity and driving both strategy and execution; effective communication, negotiation, and influencing skills to collaborate with internal and external cross-functional stakeholders; and a genuine interest in identifying and promoting computer vision strategies within Amazon.

A successful candidate will also demonstrate:

- High attention to detail including proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously

- Ability to think strategically and execute methodically

- Ability to lead teams and work in a fast-paced environment where continuous innovation is desired

- Open to travel up to two weeks every month

- Commitment to learning and expanding professional, and technical expertise

Key job responsibilities

General Responsibilities may include:

- Developing and executing scalable business plans and product requirements – being a business owner

- Communicating effectively with senior management

- Partner with cross-functional stakeholders across Field, Operations, OpsTech IT, Procurement, Finance, and more to build and execute product and program roadmaps for DST’s under-the-roof AI strategy from end-to-end.

- Develop a shared vision and align stakeholders on plan and defined milestones, advocating for resources to accomplish plan.

- Develop scalable and effective mechanisms for reviewing, managing, and reporting on product/program roadmaps.

- Earn trust with teams to ensure the right people are part of the conversation to prevent or mitigate the consequences of poor business decisions.

- Identify complexities and risks to a proposed idea and arrange additional stakeholder or sponsor reviews and meet timelines and minimize disruption to partner and engineering teams, especially during their peak efforts

- Own all program communication and accelerate progress by driving crisp and timely decisions, clearing blockers (e.g., path to green), escalating appropriately.

A day in the life

Sr. Product Managers within DST own one or multiple products related to computer vision use cases at a network level, in addition to continuous improvement projects that optimize current AI solutions available in Field. Cross functional collaboration with the RME field, Procurement, Automation Engineering, Amazon Fulfilment Technologies, OpsTech IT, and Finance is a crucial part of every initiative owned and supported by the team. The programs involve standardization of artificial intelligence solutions across all regions. By driving continuous improvement initiatives and projects, Sr. Program Managers improve the flow of packages within our sites.
