Amazon Web Services (“AWS”) is looking for an outstanding Senior Product Manager (Tech) to join the AWS International Product Management and Expansion Strategy team. This is your opportunity to be a core part of the AWS team that has direct impact on global strategic planning and decision-making.

As a Senior Product Manager (Tech) on this team, you will get an exciting opportunity to structure and solve challenging business problems that help develop long-term growth strategies for AWS’s international business. We are looking for a seasoned professional with strong product strategy and strategic planning experience in technology products or services. In this role, you will mine very large data sets for business insights and distinct trends in the adoptions of AWS services to structure various long-term strategies that have a meaningful impact AWS’s growth. You will work closely with the business and technical teams to analyze many non-standard and unique business problems, and innovate with creative-problem solving to deliver actionable output to stakeholders.

A successful candidate will be a self-starter, comfortable with ambiguity, with a working knowledge of cloud technology, with strong attention to detail, an ability to work in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment, a penchant to explain findings backed by sound statistical techniques, synthesize the business impact of findings, and have an ability to collaborate as well as effectively influence cross-functional teams. Key job responsibilities

The key strategic objectives of this role include, but are not limited to:

• Help lead the effort to continually define where, when, and how AWS will expand internationally

• Develop business cases, customer segmentation, competitive analysis, pricing analysis, marketing strategy, financial (P&L) models, and growth strategies

• Continually assess business performance and customer needs

• Perform analytical tasks consuming managed environments using third-party and/or in-house reporting tools in order to enable stakeholders manage region expansion strategy with effective insights and decisions

• Work with regional strategy managers to understand and document the business requirements

• Identify causal elements behind business trends and answer complex business questions with statistical techniques/business rigor

• Develop Excel based models to provide user friendly interfaces for business stakeholders and provide short- or long-term business projections from business insights

• Help senior stakeholders draft aspirational targets and propose concrete metrics to track progress towards targets/course correct as required

About the team

The International Product Management (IPM) team leads initiatives relating to the expansion, growth, and performance of general-purpose AWS infrastructure regions and the geographies that may host infrastructure.



Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in engineering, statistics, computer science, operations research, business analytics, information systems or equivalent

- 5+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology experience

- Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition

- Experience in scripting languages like Python, Perl, Rust



Extended Qualifications

- MBA

- Experience in using analytical tools, such as Tableau, Qlikview, QuickSight

- Experience in building and driving adoption of new tools

- Experience as a Business/Financial Analyst or Systems Analyst in a company with large, complex data sources

- Experience with AWS services including S3, Redshift, EMR and Apache Spark

- Experience using advanced Machine Learning and AI tools (e.g., Sagemaker, Bedrock)

- Experience with software coding practices is a strong plus

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $136,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $235,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
