The Sales, Marketing, and Global Services Organizations' AWS Investments team is looking for a passionate, innovative, results-oriented Senior Technical Product Manager to define and drive the strategy and direction for services, making it simpler for our field team to manage, maintain and operate at scale. We will provide products and solutions that help give our talented selling and marketing teams “superpowers” that let them focus on the customer and helping them drive their business. We’re handling massive scale, providing strategic data that drives the AWS business internally, and supporting one of the largest field sales organizations in the world.
About the Team
The AWS Investments team operates at the intersection of technology, finance, and global sales strategy, managing over $9B in programmatic, contractual, and operational investments that drive AWS customer acquisition and growth worldwide. We build and operate mission-critical financial systems that enable hundreds of investment programs across AWS globally, ensuring compliance, operational excellence, and strategic impact. We simplify and accelerate program creation and management, allowing large enterprises to go-to-market, faster.
The Opportunity
We are seeking an exceptional Senior Product Manager - Technical to own the product lifecycle for three interconnected investment management platforms that are fundamental to AWS's go-to-market strategy. This role requires a unique combination of deep technical expertise, financial systems knowledge, and the ability to navigate complex organizational dynamics across AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services.
What You'll Own
You will be the single-threaded owner responsible for managing the complete product lifecycle of three critical products:
Cash App - Supporting over $3B in programmatic and contractual investment through hundreds of programs across AWS globally, enabling deal support, promotional funding, and strategic customer investments.
Credits App - Managing over $6B in programmatic, contractual, and operational investment through hundreds of programs worldwide, facilitating AWS service credits for customer acquisition, retention, and expansion.
Global Risk and Compliance Function - Ensuring all investment activities meet financial, legal, and regulatory requirements across multiple jurisdictions while maintaining operational efficiency and audit readiness.
What You'll Do
Product Strategy & Execution
• Define and own the product roadmap and feature priorities for three interconnected products, contributing to OP1/OP2 narratives and engineering organization roadmaps
• Manage the complete product lifecycle from concept through delivery, working independently with limited guidance
• Define problems we're solving, desired customer experience, vision, tenets, and product strategy for complex financial systems
• Make smart trade-offs between time, effort, and features while ensuring products meet compliance and operational requirements
• Drive product discussions with executives (technical and non-technical), creating product materials and training content
Technical Leadership
• Understand the end-to-end architecture of Amazon Financial Systems, Payment networks, Commerce Platform, and their integration points
• Define APIs, algorithms, and identify where architectural changes are needed to create the right customer and business experience
• Recognize when technical design limits performance, scale, extensibility, and our ability to innovate for customers
• Articulate when new services are needed (and when they are not), working with engineering teams across organizational boundaries
• Assess emerging technologies and their application to investment management use cases
Cross-Organizational Collaboration
• Work with business stakeholders across Sales, Marketing, Global Services, Finance, Legal, and Compliance teams
• Navigate complex integrations with Go-To-Market tools, Salesforce, AWS Marketplace, and core sales processes
• Distill clear requirements from diverse sets of customers, partners, vendors, and regional business entities
• Build consensus across technical and business strategies, aligning stakeholders on approach and prioritization
• Partner with TPMs, engineering teams, and business leaders to ensure cohesive end-to-end solutions
Business Impact & Metrics
• Develop product plans with clear, measurable success criteria
• Define mechanisms and metrics (KPIs, funnels, conversion, awareness) to track product adoption and performance
• Impact product brand, customer experience, technical design trade-offs, and organizational business goals
• Establish and simplify processes to ensure products meet customer needs through effective roadmap prioritization
• Create audit mechanisms for metrics, reporting, and evaluation standards
Risk Management & Compliance
• Proactively mitigate risks and reduce exposure to classic failure modes in financial systems
• Ensure products meet financial, legal, and regulatory requirements across multiple jurisdictions
• Define showstoppers related to product quality, ensuring issues are resolved in the right order
• Manage post-launch support, triage, and issue management for mission-critical financial systems
Basic Qualifications
• 5+ years of engineering, product management, or relevant experience
• Demonstrated experience managing technology products or major features with considerable business impact
• Strong technical understanding sufficient to work credibly with engineering teams on complex systems
• Experience with financial systems, payment networks, or commerce platforms
• Proven ability to handle complex product development scenarios with visible risks, roadblocks, and constraints
• Track record of successfully driving engineering teams to deliver on product vision
• Experience working with cross-functional teams including engineering, finance, legal, and compliance
Preferred Qualifications
• Deep institutional knowledge of Amazon Financial Systems, Payment networks, and Commerce Platform
• Experience with Go-To-Market tools, Salesforce, and AWS Marketplace integrations
• Understanding of AWS sales processes and how they interoperate with data systems and tools
• Experience managing products supporting $1B+ in transaction volume
• Proven ability to influence technical priorities and business strategy through data-driven contributions
• Experience with global compliance requirements and risk management frameworks
• Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field
• Experience contributing to OP1/OP2 planning processes [10,29]
• Track record of building consensus across multiple organizational boundaries
• Experience with agile software engineering practices and best practices for full software development lifecycle
Technical Expectations for Senior PMT
• Understands the reasons behind product/feature architecture decisions and can articulate why systems are built certain ways
• Capable of holding engineering teams to high standards for product solutions (similar to a technical manager)
• Recognizes when technical design limits a product's performance, ability to scale, and future innovation capability
• Able to discern which solutions require additional technical guidance from senior engineers or subject matter experts
• Understands the impact of technical backlog on product future and development team execution
• Knows how to prioritize operational excellence work alongside feature delivery on roadmaps
• Can assess emerging technologies and apply them to product/feature use cases

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
