Description

We are seeking an experienced Principal Product Manager to join our team. In this role, you will lead the strategy and development of our next-generation device ecosystem, including account linking solutions, OAuth flows, profile-aware device metadata, device provisioning, registration systems, and comprehensive management APIs.

As a Principal PMT, you will collaborate with engineering teams, stakeholders, and customers to define product vision, roadmap, and requirements while ensuring technical excellence across the DMS portfolio. This role has broad organizational impact, requiring collaboration with multiple engineering teams and stakeholders across the company. The incumbent will influence technical decisions that affect our entire device ecosystem and will be responsible for solutions that power millions of customer experiences.

Key job responsibilities

- Define the strategic vision and product roadmap for device management systems, incorporating business requirements, market trends, and technical considerations

- Lead the internal productization effort for device authentication flows, account linking, and device onboarding and registration, device metadata and policy management

- Collaborate with engineering teams to specify requirements for device metadata management and provisioning systems

- Drive the creation of device management APIs and documentation for internal and external consumers

- Partner with cross-functional teams including engineering, UX, security, and customer support to deliver cohesive solutions

- Analyze market trends, competitive landscape, and customer feedback to inform product decisions

- Prioritize features and capabilities based on business impact, customer needs, and technical feasibility

- Communicate product plans and progress to executive leadership and stakeholders

- Serve as a technical subject matter expert

Qualifications

- 8+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology experience

- Bachelor's degree

- Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product

- Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition

- Experience with end to end product delivery

- Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product

- Experience technical product management



Extended Qualifications

- Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field

- Deep technical knowledge of device identity management, provisioning systems, and security protocols

- Experience with cloud services and distributed systems architecture

- Background in developing API strategies and developer platforms

- Knowledge of data modeling and metadata management systems

- Experience with Agile/Scrum development methodologies

- Prior experience in a large-scale technology organization

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $161,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $279,900/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
